Alessandro POV

I swerved into the available parking spot and slammed on the brakes.

"Go before me, I have a call to take." I stated.

She scoffed and got out, staying quiet as she left. After the whole mess of a raid yesterday, our businesses had taken a hit and I was yet to get calls to make up for it.
"Carlo, you're inside, sí?" I said, as soon as the phone was answered.

"Already on her tail boss, she'll be fine. You can trust me."

"Thanks. I've got another call so I'm off."

"Meet us soon boss, she looks more pissed off than usual."

I scoffed, "Like I care."

"Ale, I'm only saying this as your friend but she's still your future wife." He sighed.

"Carlo, leave it. I've got to go."

I hung up on him and answered my next callk as I walked into the shopping centre. Carlo told me they were already at the wedding dress shop which bought me time. Chiara's mother made it perfectly clear to me that I wasn't allowed to see the dress till the wedding.

I went and sat outside a cafe and continued my conversation with Aryan.

"Boss, the businesses is back up and running. I've checked on all the casinos and they are okay. Money flow is back in and unsurprisingly, the popularity has gone up."

"That's good to hear, Aryan. Seems like your job has been done well."

"Thank you, sir."

I looked up to see our family walking past me."

"I have to go now, but keep me posted on anything that happens."

"Take care, boss."

He hung up and I pocketed my phone, making my way towards the group. I greeted my mother, brother and my future mother-in-law. I tried to speak to Chiara's brothers but they remained silent, ignoring me.

"How did the meeting go with the gang leader from the north?" I asked Oscar, knowing he had a meeting with him yesterday.

He ignored me. I was going to speak again and ask Chiara something, when Rafael spoke.

"So when you go out, do you not take security with you?"

"I do. I'd be a dead man if I didn't." I rolled me eyes.

"Then why did you not have security with you when you were being followed by hitmen on the highway?"

"What's the problem? I dealt with them and she's safe, isn't she?" I glared.

"We dealt with them, Alessandro." She chimed in.

"Can we just go to get the suits, please?" I said, pinching the bridge of my nose.

"Come niños, please stop arguing." Mrs Martinez scolded.

When we got to the shop, I gave my appointment ticket to the man at the desk and he led me to the private room where my measurements would be taken for my tux.

"Ah, Alessandro. It's been a while since I last saw you, son." Said the man waiting in the dressing room.

"Henry," I smiled, shaking his hand, "It's been too long. How are you, how's your family?"

"They're good, they're good." He chuckled. "The youngest is in highschool."

"I remember when you first introduced me to the young one, can't believe she's grown all the way till highschool." I sighed.
