*That afternoon*
TS: Did you know?
SR: Yeah. I knew.
TO: And you let her go anyway?
TS: Come on. You know how stubborn she is.
SR: There was no stopping her.
CB: She shouldn't have done that.
TO: She shouldn't have gone.
CB: Why don't you take that up with her husband.
TS: He already feels bad enough.
SR: As much as I want to, I can't change the outcome.
CB: Whether we have the stones or not, it can't be undone.
*meanwhile with you and Nat*
NR: Why didn't you tell anyone?
Y/N: Because I knew you all would try and stop me.
NR: I would've chained you to the bed.
Y/N: And that still would not have stopped me from going.
NR: Did anyone besides Steve know about the baby?
Y/N: Savannah knew. She was with me when I took the test.
NR: What did your doctor say?
Y/N: More babies are possible. If I wanted more.
NR: Are you sure that's a good idea?
Y/N: Probably not. You know how Steve will feel about this.
SR: And you would be right.
NR: I'm going to leave you two alone. I'll check in on you later.
*Nat leaves the two of you alone.*
SR: You knew there had to be a sacrifice, didn't you?
Y/N: I asked Nebula how her sister died. She told me about it.
SR: That's why you insisted on going there.
Y/N: You are correct.
SR: You could've died up there.
Y/N: I know. Baby, I'm sorry but...
SR: But yours wasn't the only one that had problems.

Y/N: What do you mean?
SR: I saw her.
Y/N: What do you...how is that...I don't understand.
SR: Tony and I had a...problem. We had to make a side trip.
Y/N: What kind of problem?
SR: Everything was going as planned...

*flashback*
SR: Tony had the stone. He was on his way out when he got blindsided. He dropped the case and the tesseract fell out and slid across the floor...stopping right at Loki's feet. He picked it up and disappeared.
*end flashback*

SR: And just like that, it was gone.
Y/N: And the side trip?
SR: New Jersey, 1970.
Y/N: She was there?

*flashback*
SR: I had to duck into an office to hide from the guards. When I turned around, I saw her name on the door. Then I heard her voice. She was in the next room. I could see her through the window.
*end flashback*

SR: She was standing right in front of me.
Y/N: I see. Did any of, uh...those old...feelings come back?
SR: I'd be lying if I said I didn't think about the 'what if'.
Y/N: I don't want to hear anymore.
SR: But right here, right now, there's no place I'd rather be than with my wife and children.
