Imani

I sat down at the table with the girls with my bag of McDonald's. I sat next to Megan and Anastasia was sitting in front of us. I started taking my food out and I had gotten a lot. I had gotten a mayo chicken, cheeseburger, 10 nuggets, large fries, oreo mcflurry, apple pie and a vanilla milkshake.

"Did you start your period?" Megan asked.

"No, I just wanna try Russian mcdonalds, maybe I think it's coming. I just wanna eat damn."

"It really isn't that good," Anastasia said.

"I don't know that."

I got the chicken mayo first and I took a bite out of the burger.. I could taste the mayo and it was so nice, it was the perfect bite. I got to taste the chicken and the bread didn't taste old or off. It was like the nicest chicken mayo I havae ever had in my life. I nodded my head in agreement.

"Meg this tastes really good, I have to disagree Anastasia this tastes good."

"Maybe it's an American thing," she frowns.

"It probably tastes more real than anything, lemme have a bite."

I waved my hand over the food, motioning for her to try some. I took another bite of my mayo chicken and it just tasted so good. It was the nice sweetness of the mayo that really made me love it. Megan tried the cheeseburger and she said it was okay.

I, on the other hand, loved it. We were talking for while, just eating and getting to know Anastasia. We got to know about her childhood and what it was like growing up with Alexei and Kaz. I found it so cute just hearing about him.

I could imagine little Kazimir running around scaring the staff members to entertain his little sister. The idea filled my head, it just made me happy to hear it. We threw away our trash from our food, but I would stop to try other foods that I saw. The fact I was starving myself the other day was catching up to me.

"Okay, now we need to go dress shopping," Anastasia said.

"Why?" I asked.

"You don't know?"

"About what?"

"Well my father's birthday is next week and he always throws this big elaborate party, so I wanted us to go buy dresses. I thought they at least told you something."

"I don't know if I even wanna go to that," Megan said.

"Same, I don't think so either," I agreed.

She pursed her lips and she ran her hands through her hair. It's like she wanted to say something, but was against it.

"Say it," I sighed.

"Kazimir won't go then and if Kazimir doesn't go then that's just going to cause problems," she groans.

"He will go without me," I shrug.

"No he won't," Megan scoffs.

"She is right, he won't go. I have seen the way that my brother looks at you, I think he would destroy the world for you.... in a metaphoric sense."

I stopped walking and I stared at her. Kazimir would really not go to his own father's birthday, because of me? His stepfather raised him half of his life and he would choose me in the months we have just known each other.

"He wouldn't, but even if we do go together. That would mean something, no?"

"It depends, Kazimir always has a woman at his side during my father's events, so it would be the same all year around," she explains.
