"Fuck no,"

Vance spits out and proceeds to walk over the bags, squishing a few vegetables whilst doing so, Vance felt slightly bad, but to be honest, with the news of "the grabber" he wasn't risking anything.

Suddenly he felt a hand swoop around his neck,

His body instantly goes into flight or fight mode, and his body chooses to fight. He squirms around, kicking around and trying to elbow the man, but then he realised,

'This is a grown man, and I'm just a kid. Even if I try to fight back, In the end, I'll still be defeated. But I have to try and fight.'

For the first time in what felt like forever, Vance was scared. He was terrified, and he didn't know what to do. He was panicking and he was just pushing around without a thought.

A spray-can appears in front of him and he tries to slap it away or trying to grab it, he didn't know what he was aiming for at this point. But it instantly spays into his mouth and eyes. His stamina slowly decreases and his 'fighting back' gets weaker and weaker every second and his body relaxes into unconsciousness.

...

You walk out of the school gates and begin heading to the Grab'n'go, excited to see Vance, after all, he wasn't at school, so he must've been playing on the pinball machine. You wanted to be near him again, talk to him again and maybe kiss him again.

You push the doors open and glance over to the pinball machine, there was no one there, Your eyebrows furrow and you take your vest and slowly put it on as you stare at the pinball machine trying to muster up where he could be, you shrug and sit down on the chair behind the counter and rummage through the magazine collection and notice a certain magazine, you pull it out and look at the cover,

It was the magazine you were reading when Vance came into the store and asked for quarters when the machine was broken,

You chuckled silently and opened it, reliving memories with him, how did you miss him this much already? It had only been a day, but there was a gut feeling that you were pushing down, something felt wrong but you couldn't focus on it, so it was easier to just ignore it. So you smile as you read, thinking of Vance and his perfect face, voice and smile. But you couldn't stop thinking about him, and throughout your shift, the only thing on your mind was him; You were starting to feel a little obsessed.

You sigh as you leave the store, gripping your bag handle, slowly walking in the cold breeze as you glance up at the pinkish-purple sky. This gut feeling wasn't going away and it was growing even worse, and you pass by some squished vegetables whilst you walk home, and you look down confused about why they were there, you shrug and carry on walking home.

...

You close the door and kick your shoes off, you place your bag onto the hanger and slowly walk to the living room, you notice your mom sleeping on the couch, a small smile plasters onto your face and place a blanket over her, picking up the half empty popcorn bowl and placing it on the kitchen table. You walk back to your living room and sit down on the couch, you change the channel on the TV onto the news,

"Two children aged from 13-14 have been recorded missing, Billy Showalter and Bruce Yamada, if you see these individuals please inform the local police station of the information you have. Multiple resources have suspected that the three children have been kidnapped by one individual, who many calls 'The Grabber', so I must inform you, make sure to walk home or to school with another person to try and stop these kidnappings from occurring," The TV then showed three pictures of children, Griffin Stagg, Billy Showalter and Bruce Yamada,

Wait, Bruce Yamada?

Your eyes widen and your mouth slightly opens in awe, the kid you talked to just a few days ago, was missing. And then your heart dropped, if someone you just talked to was kidnapped, that could happen to anyone you know; Yourself, Finney or even Vance.

Then your gut feelings grips your heart, that feeling that you had all day, what if it was telling you something had happened to Vance? Your lungs feel as if they are trapped in concrete and you glance over to your mom, who's fast asleep, you instantly turn the TV off and lay down on her, feeling your eyes burn and your throat tighten up.

...

Bruces' eyes open as he hears the clang of the door, he instantly sits up with his back leaning on the wall, he had decided that this really was 'The Grabber' and had begun calling him that, He sees him entering with a boy with Long blonde curly hair in his hands,

Wait, Long blonde curly hair? He knew exactly who that was. It was the Vance Hopper.

Bruce sits out of the way as The Grabber threw Vance onto the hard mattress, shuddering him awake, his eyes open widely and he takes a glance at a blurry figure and starts swinging in his direction, Bruce panics and grabs Vance, pulling him back, "Well that's not too nice now, calm down." The Grabber says, with an unusually angry tone and walks to the door, slamming it. Vance gives one last swing and pushes Bruce off of him, "What the fuck, why would you do that dumbass!" Vance yells out to Bruce about to gift him a punch in the face, "Calm down Vance!" Bruce says holding his hands up, "You won't be able to win against him like that!" He says in a loud but calm voice, "Yeah? And why the fuck won't I?" Vance says in an intimidating tone, inching closer to Bruce, "We need to think of how to get out of here without attacking him, he'll just come back and give us an even worse punishment!" Bruce reasons, Vance backs down slowly, "Whatever, I'm not going to die like that Griffin kid or Billy." He spits out, "We probably will, but that doesn't mean we can't try to escape, we need some motivation," Vance walks to the door and slams it with his fist,

"Oh, I've got the motivation." Vance spits out as his face shrivels into a look of determination and anger mixed into one.

I hope you enjoyed this chapter! I've been really thinking about the ending of this story and I'm thinking of making it have a sad ending, but I'm still thinking about it, I probably won't go along with that depending on my mood whilst writing this story aha!
