VEGAS POV

I woke up because I heard my phone buzzing right next to my head. It was only 8:30 AM, but Pete was nowhere to be found, then I remembered that he went to prepare breakfast for Venice and Jessie.

I picked up my phone just to check who was calling.. It was Kinn.. fuck why is he bothering me this early?

V: "Yes Kinn?"
K: "Vegas, you need to make sure that Pete wont come today to that meeting."
V: "Why would I do something like this?"
K: "I need to get the business, and Pete is a massive obstacle to this."
V: "I don't need to help you Kinn. Pte will be there and so will I."
K: "Come on, please do it for the old times sake."
V: I won't do it Kinn.
K: "Don't you remember our plan before? That we will rip Pete, we will make sure that he won't be successful in this business carrier Jasmine prepared for him?
V:"That was before I knew him."
K: "You still don't know him."
V: "Pete trusts me. He even gave me his shares for the Saengtham glass business. And Jasmine was still alive! I am not going to help you."

Kinn kept pushing and talking shit.. Fuck it.. I won't listen to this bullshit anymore.

V: "I won't be doing this shit like you Kinn. Leave me out of it. I won't be playing this game with you. Pete finally came back to me, I am not going to do it."

With that I hung up and threw the phone on a bed. I saw Pete standing in the door frame with breakfast in his hands.

"Good morning Pete, thank you for letting me sleep a bit longer." I smiled but he frowned.
"Why were you so angry? Was it Kinn? Did he call you because of that meeting today?" He started to ask questions.

"Because Kinn wanted me to stop you from going to that meeting, because of whatever sick reason of his. I really dont know. I dont want to have anything in common with him and things he is doing." I said with one breath.

"Come on, sit down and eat breakfast, you can tell me everything later. I still have some questions for you to answer." When Pete said this he frowned and started spacing out.

I finished breakfast as fast as I could just to speak with him and tell him everything, but then I found out that it is almost 9 AM, so the meeting will be held soon.

"Pete, we will be late for the meeting. I am not sure if I will be able to tell you everything in time, so you won't be surprised because of what Kinn might say."

"Vegas, I won't be surprised. Trust me, I knew what he had planned and that you wanted to help him at first. I know that you are now trying to protect me as well, but please trust me. I am no longer the Pete you have known, I changed, those 7 months in Thailand changed me a lot. And the meeting was postponed for 30 minutes, so you can go and have a shower and prepare. Ill do the same right after I check on Jessie and Venice and discuss next plan of action with Macau and Chay."

When Pete said this, I felt ashamed of myself. I could not believe that the cute and innocent boy changed into this kind of a beast and I am not going to lie, I loved this change of his. Now it was me who was spacing out. Pete left the room with empty plates and I went to have a shower and get ready for that meeting. After a shower I walked to the bedroom and found a suit ready for me.

It took me only a couple of minutes before I reached downstairs when I heard Pete talking with Macau and Chay. "Guys, please take care of Jessie and Venice, as I am not sure for how long this meeting will be. Also, can you please go to the hospital with Jessie to check on Tania? I already called the attending doctor, hence he will let you in with Jessie. If you are hungry just order something. Here is money," he handed them £100," However, make sure that the security is on, in case someone would try to break in, hide where I told you no one will be able to find you." With that he hugged them both like he should never see them again.
