Roh Jihoon is a solo artist under Cube Entertainment after rising to prominence whilst competing in MBC’s ‘Birth of a Great Star’ in 2011. In 2009, he signed a three year contract with UFO Entertainment, and released an album under the label, which ultimately flopped. He continued to receive training through the agency when he auditioned for ‘Birth of a Great Star’, which brought him a lot of criticism from fans of the show who said his experience and training gave him an unfair advantage. After reaching the show’s Top 8, he was picked up by Cube Entertainment in June 2011.
Since signing with Cube, he began training as a solo artist, and made his debut seventeen months later with his first EP, ‘The Next Big Thing’, and a “bad boy” image and concept.
