Christine a very close friend of yours has always been by your side since you two were young teens. Recently the both of you have been going through a bit of a rough patch. Your mental health had been on an on going decline, you used to be able to hide it in front of your friend but lately it's been getting harder and harder.
Currently you were laying on your couch in your apartment. With the tv on but you weren't paying attention to it, you were to deep in your own head you didn't even hear the loud banging on your door. "Y/n!? Open up!" The voice of Christine was the one thing that was able to knock you out of your deep thoughts.
As soon as you unlock the door your best friend barges through and hugs you. "God you scared me. Why weren't you answering any of my calls?" Christine asks with concern written all over her face. You don't answer, you just shuffle out of the hug.
"Y/n?" More concern starts to appear on her face.
"Can you just leave... please." You coldly say.
"What?"
"Please leave Christine." You say sternly just wanting to be left alone.
"No. Y/n I'm your friend!" She fights back feeling hurt.
"Oh please! Can't you see I don't want a friend right now!" You tell back at her as small tears start to form.
"But-" Christine try's to yell back at you but you cut her off before anything else could be said.
"You know what?! I have loved you ever since I've known you! And it pains me to see how blind you are to that! Maybe- maybe it's my fault..." you yell and sob slowly breaking down.
"Y/n I love you too..." Christine says quietly.
"No you don't! Your only pitying me."
"It breaks my heart to see you this way."
"Come on," you laugh sadly at her comment.
"But I truly do love you and I'm not giving up on you so I'll be back in an 1 hour when your calm." And she was. Christine left for an hour exact and when she came back you were sitting on the couch with your head in your hands. But most importantly you were indeed calm.
