chapter 2 secret spot

y/n pov 

It's been 3 years since i met rengoku  and all throughout those 3 years all he would talk about is becoming a demon slayer so to surprise him i started training to become a demon slayer and try to sign up for a demon slayer corps. it had its ups and downs but it will all be worth it just to see his bright smile again.

rengoku pov 

I've been basically killing myself to get a spot in the demon slayer corps but sometimes it's hard to focus on my goals when i see y/n i mean she's been acting so suspicious  for the longest time. i really do worry about her i mean she is my best friend and i can't stand to see her unhappy especially when i can't help

"big brother!"  It's Senjurō my little brother "yes little brother?"  i say looking down at him with a smile "your girl friend is at the door" he said with a goofy smile "w-what she's not my girl friend she's just my friend"  i say hiding my face 

as i walk to the door i see my father passed out on the floor again but at this point it's normal. as i open the door i over hear what y/n was saying to herself "ummm hi rengoku i got some big new-uhg no that sounds stupid ummm-" as i open the door i smile at her acting like i didn't hear a thing

"oh hi y/n come inside" as i said that i saw her relax and smile "sure oh and by the way i have something to tell you" she said looking down at  the end "yeah sure of course" 

as we got inside i sat her down so she could tell me the great news "so what did you want to tell me flame?" as i said that i saw her smile get even bigger "well you wont believe me but.......I GOT IN ROLLED IN THE DEMON SLAYER CORPS!!!!" as she said that my heart skipped a beat "that's wonderful little flame" i said while picking her up from excitement 

she looks so beautiful when she smiles it makes my whole body shut down and only worry about protecting her and only her "hey ren i have place  for us to go" i looked up at her while she was in my arms and smiled and laugh "were do you wanna go" i said with a big sits a secret" she says with a mischievous look across her face  "alright then lets be on our way" 

as y/n led the way to the "secret" spot i felt her hand touch mine "we are about there so cover your eyes"  she said with a goofy grin 

as i closed my eyes i felt her grab my hand and led me wherever she was going. i had my full trust in what she was doing so i didn't dare open my eyes and ruin the surprises 

"we are here!" i heard y/n say with her beautiful voice. as i opened my eyes i felt a warm embrace. i looked down to see y/n hugging the lower half of my body with a tight squeeze "SURPRISE" i heard her say. as i looked up i saw a tiny ramen  bar

as we walked in i felt y/n cross her arm with mine which made my heart skip a beat "um what do you want to order" she said looking up at me with a bright smile "just a normal ramen bowl" i said because i now they don't have anything with sweet potatoes it it 

as y/n and I sat down and got our ramen i felt y/n bump my shoulder and giggle "what is it?" i say keeping it down in case it's important "isn't that the kid that bullied me when we first met?" she said pointing over at a kid "hmm he does look like him" i say while taking the fist bit of my ramen "DELICIOUS!" i say while jumping out of my seat  "where did you find this place y/n!" i say with wide eyes "my mom would bring me here when i was younger and she would always tell me not to tell anyone but someone i care deeply about" as she said that i felt my heart skip a beat "am i really that special to you?"  i said choking on my words "of course i mean you are my best friend" as she said that i couldn't help but hug her  "thank you so much"
