Secrets Lie Within: Year 1 Part 15

Chapter 15:

Roselia studies for her upcoming finals when her daddy comes over with a smirk on his face and holding something from his back. "Roselia," he speaks, catching the young student's attention.

"Y-Yes, Daddy?" she asked.

"I would like for you to do something for Daddy tonight."

"Wh-What is it, Daddy?" Roselia titles her head to the side, a bit confused.

"I would like for you to go into the Slytherin House to the furthest dorm room where the Slytherin girl and her firedrake are in their deep slumber to give this to her," Qurriell explains, showing the item from behind his back. It's a note folded nicely with a name on it, "To the Beautiful Eilidth Emberson."

"I-I don't understand," she stutters.

"Do you love Daddy?" Qurriell didn't like the confusion. He roughly pins Roselia against a nearby wall while holding her neck with a firm grip.

"Y-Yes, of-of course, I-I do!" she manages to respond through the sudden hold. "D-Daddy, y-you're hurting-" the grip tightens.

He smirks evilly, but then as if something snaps in him. "Oh-Oh, g-gosh, Roselia!" Qurriell lets go of her as she falls onto the ground. "D-Daddy's so-so sorry!" he apologizes, checking the gasping secret wolf.

"D-Daddy! Wh-Why did-did you-" tears run down her dark hues in pain, but mostly scared of someone like him who loves her daughter would do that.

"Shh, shhh, shh," he gently shushes her while petting her hair into a hug.

Roselia is still frightened of what happened, but she hugs her daddy back.

Later on, that night while everyone is in their slumber, a white-coloured wolf with a hue of pink walks through the hallways of the castle towards the Slytherin House. Luckily, all of the snakes of the House are also asleep in their portraits. She finds the main portrait and gets in without being noticed.

Roselia enters the Slytherin Common Room to see how strangely beautiful it is compared to the Hufflepuff Common Room. The Black Lake's night creatures are swimming freely within the waters. She transforms into her human form with her wolf ears and tail out, knowing that no one will see her like this, other than the Lake's creatures obviously.

Daddy said it's the furthest dorm where the Slytherin girl and her firedrake sleep.

She follows the directions toward the furthest girl's dorm and noticed how far it is compared to the last girl's dorm is located. That's strange. Anyways, the white-haired girl continues with her mission.

Roselia uses her paw to turn the doorknob slowly and enters inside. It's quite small with only one twin-sized bed, a dresser, a nightstand, a private washroom, and a fireplace to keep the room warm for the night. The girl sleeping under the covers has shoulder-length grey/black hair, pale skin, and wearing black night clothing. She recognizes her as a schoolmate from her year and the one from the forest, but she doesn't know her name. The Slytherin is positioned as if she doesn't have a care in the world with her arm laid across her stomach and the other curled up to her head.

The firedrake looks like it's still a newborn, like a few months old. He's sleeping next to her where her stomach is located.

"Is this one that Daddy wants?" Roselia thinks to herself, confused.

She stares at the sleeping girl and quickly notices that the human girl will occasionally turn into a different creature. The Slytherin girl has turned into three creatures while Softpaw watches her sleep. Each one resembles a dragon or a creature similar to one. Roselia titles her head at this but shakes her head when she gently places the note on the pillow next to the human girl before turning to leave.
