September 12, 2031

Hello there! Matanda na ako mga accla! Finally moved on noon pa. Irene and I are divorced 9 years ago.

Solaire is graduating elementary today! She's already 12 years old! And I'm already 29 years old bishes! Turning 30 on September 22

"Hey Solaire! Hurry up sweetheart!" My wife shouted

"Coming Mommy!" Solaire shouted back

"Let's go na po" Solaire said and smiled

"You're dalaga na Solaire" I said while holding back my tears

"Mama don't cry po! Masisira po make up niyo niyan" She answered

"Let's go na" My wife said

⎯⎯⎯⎯

We arrived at the school

Nagmartsa ang lahat ng students with their parents. We held Solaire's hand and went to the stage. Nang makababa na kami sa stage ay agad namang umupo si Solaire sa harap.

Kami naman ng asawa ko ay umupo sa likod dahil doon umuupo ang mga parents.

Ang teacher nina Solaire ay nasa stage.

"Let's give around of applause! The guess speaker, Mrs. Irene Alcantara-Silvano" When the teacher said that name. My smile faded.

My wife held my hand. She knew about my past.

"I'm okay, Monica" I said

"Are you sure, mahal ko?" She asked sweetly

I smiled, She's my solace.

"Yes, love. I'm okay, don't worry" I said softly

She just nodded.

"Thank you for that kind introduction and thank you for inviting me to speak today. I'm very pleased to be here to join you in celebrating this wonderful occasion. First of all, congratulations to all of you. You should be very, very proud of yourselves for accomplishing this goal. Well done. I know you must all be excited to get your hands on your diplomas and run out into the world. To the families of those graduating and earning certifications, congratulations to you and you should know that your support through this process made an enormous impact. I'm sure you're very proud of your graduates as they close this portion of their lives and prepare for their next journey. Graduation is one of those steps in life that defines a coming of age - the ending of one era of life, as a student or the one being shown the ropes, and moving on to a new stage in which you are a leader, a do-er and an achiever in the wider world. I'm sure many of you have firm plans and have a good idea of what's coming next, some of you have a pretty good idea of what you want to do next, a dream and a lot of hope to get you there, and some of you are just amazed that you got to this graduation point at all! Well the coming times will be exciting, they will be trying but they will be all dependent on you and your determination. That would be all. Good morning and thank you everyone for inviting me in this wonderful occasion" Irene said

"With highest honor, Solaire Alcantara Raven. With her parents, Monica Alvarez and Almira Raven" The teacher said

Me and Monica stand up. And went to the stage.

Sinabitan nila ng madaming medal ang anak ko. I'm so proud of her. Manang mana saakin di ba, ehe!

Pagkatapos non ay bumaba kami sa stage, ngunit naiwan si Solaire doon sapagkat may speech pa siya.

"First, I want to congratulate you all. It was not so long ago when I dared to dream, and not so long ago, when I dared to take the first essential steps towards the fulfillment of my elementary education. Today, together with my batch mates, celebrate our success after all these years of hardship, struggle and perseverance. We reminisce the challenges that stood before us, and we savor the victories that came upon our hands. To our distinguished guest speaker, Mrs. Irene Alcantara-Silvano. Sir Marco A. Salvador, the Schools Division Superintendent. Sir Antonio S. Reyes, the Division Supervisor. Sir Richard C. Villaruel, the Principal In charge of our district. To the guests and visitors, fellow graduates and to our dear parents…. A BEAUTIFUL AND PLEASANT MORNING TO ALL OF YOU. From the start that I went to school, I always dreamed of being the best. So, I strived hard to be on top of the class, but failed to what I dreamt. Despite of that, I continue to strive hard for me to reach my goal and that is being to be the TOP 1 of the class. I never lose hope, rather I was inspired to do better, and with that I managed to be on top of the class during Grade 5. Standing here in front of everybody, have this feeling of pride and happiness. Because I have proven to myself that I can be the best of what I am only if will strive hard and have a sense of determination and perseverance. I am also happy because all my efforts and sacrifices were well paid off. The theme, “Hindi Natitinag ang Pusong Pilipino” talks mainly on our ability to cope with whatever trials comes on our way. Napatunayang natin sa buong mundo na kahit ano pa mang kalamidad and dumating sa atin ay nagagawa pa rin nating ngumiti at tumawa. Naipakita natin sa buong mundo na sa gitna ng lahat ay hindi tayo nawawalan ng pag-asa. Naipakita rin natin ang ating pagmamahal at pagmamalasakit sa bawat isa sa pamamagitan ng pagtutulungan. Young as I am today, I can say that failures and trials should not be the reason for us to say no and never try to do something, rather let us make them an inspiration to do better. Let them strengthens our character. These medals I have today are the fruits of my labors. And I know I could not be this best if not because of Mama and Mommy who were always there to guide me. Ma & Mom, Thank you for your sacrifices and support. To my teachers for the insurmountable dedication and patient in teaching us. Ma'ams & Sirs, I learned a lot of things from you which I will value as I continue getting through my dreams. To my fellow graduates, we end up one glorious chapter of our lives and a new one will begin. New adventures, new friendships, new series of struggles but with the things we learned from Wisdom Elementary School, let’s keep bodly stepping towards the fulfillment of our dreams and aspirations. Along the way, we may meet a lot of trials, but our burning desire to reach our goals will keep us from straying or giving up. Along the way were many uncertainties, but certain beacons of light will show us the right path to take. Let us thank God therefore for His unceasing grace and guidance; our teachers, for their immeasurable dedication; our parents for their unconditional support all throughout these years; and our friends who walk along with us, side by side. Because of them, we were able to reach this endeavor. Because of them, we can truly say, “We made it!”. Let’s clapped our hands for all of them. Congratulations fellow graduates. Thank you and Mabuhay!" Solaire

We all clapped our hands.

I'm very proud of you, Solaire.

I saw Irene who is very proud of my daughter.

You made it, Anak.
