Chapter 18: "The Exorcism"

It's about time since Anna's father finally bought the Book of Shadows!

After he arrived home, he looked exhausted but relieved at the same time. He made sure no one followed him on the road, because he's been feeling extremely nervous about this whole plan.

He couldn't imagine doing something so challenging.

He doesn't know what's stranger: meeting a famous pop star brought back from the dead, or an ancient magical book filled with supernatural powers.

But Anna and Sam are feeling relieved that they got the book. They thanked him for his patience and hard work for picking it up. He later said that he'll have to earn more money from his career because he spent it all for the book.

Michael has been acting really nervous, because he's about to confront his inner demon.

He's not very sure if it's the demon that's been making him feast on human flesh and raw animal meat. He wants it out of him, or things could go worse.

-Hey, dad... uhm... where are we gonna do this, you know, the spell casting?- Anna asked his dad.

-I'm not sure, honey. You told us about this witch lady, right?- He replied.

-Yes, but...-

-But what?-

-She won't help us.-

-What?!-

-She said that we should cast this demon ourselves.-

-How's that possible? That's ridiculous! We don't have this sort of experience!-

-We should try to work on this. All we have to do is find the exact spell and follow it. Michael needs our help!-

-Alright. We'll see what we can do.-

-I don't think we should cast this spell here, honey.- Mom said.

-Yeah. We don't want our neighbors to suspect us. We should leave far away from town and work on this off sight.-

-You think it's the best idea?- Dad asked.

-Absolutely. What if there's an accident? We definitely should drive far away from town and do it in private. Besides, Michael's afraid that the spell would go wrong and he'd turn out worse than ever.-

-What do you mean "worse"?-

-He said that he could probably become permanently into a flesh eating abomination. He's scared. We told him that we believe it's gonna work. Trust me.-

-Okay, honey. But remember, if the spell works, keep this book away from others! You got that? This book could be dangerous on other people's hands.-

-Yes, dad.-

-Okay. Let's start planning in where we should go and spend the night for the spell. And we must keep Michael safe in the car.-

-Can Eric come?-

-Do you think his father will let him out?-

-I'll just tell him to tell his father that he's going camping with us for the weekend.-

-And don't you think he'd be okay with that, after everyone concerned about the "flesh eater" incidents?-

-You're right. I think we should go.-

-Okay. But Sam can't go. It's too dangerous for him.-

Sam in the back stood up.

-Aw why not?!-

-You can't go, honey! It's too dangerous!- Mom told him.

-But what's gonna happen to you? I don't wanna lose you in case it doesn't work!- He seems worried.
