It had been a couple of weeks, and life was great. Nicole got a job at the arcade. Nicole would sneak out and go and hang out with Steve. Billy knew the two were together, but he was more chill then normal, which Nicole thought was weird, but wasn't gonna complain.
"Guess what?" Steve said as she opened her window seal.
"Your birthdays tomorrow?" She guessed.
"How'd you know?" He asked climbing in.
"I am the all knowing." Nicole states.
"What 43 times 762?" Steve ask.
"I am not the all knowing." Nicole laughs.
"Good because I don't know the answer to it either." Steve laughs tackling her in a hug and kissing her.
"So what do you want to do for your birthday?" She giggles.
"I don't know." Steve admits.
"Your turning eighteen! You're going to be an adult! We have to do something big!" She says.
"I know something we can do." Steve says, smirking with a suggestive look in his eyes.
"Technically we can't since you will be eighteen and I will still be a minor." She says.
"We could do it today." He offers.
"Steve, I'm not ready." She states, a stern look on her face.
"Okay, well we can't have a party because my parents will be home. We can go somewhere fancy to eat." Steve suggests.
"Sounds good to me!" Nicole responds. She took a deep breath before saying what she had been wanting too for the past couple of days.
"I was going to save this to tell you tomorrow, but I'm too excited!" Nicole began. "Steve, I've been saving up money for a little while now, and when we graduate, I'm going to buy an apartment, for us to live in all on our own. I've got a spot in mind already, and already know what couch I want in the living space. We don't have to move in the fast if you don't want to, I just thought it would be a good escape from our parents and school, and-" she was interrupted by Steve's lips on hers.
He grabbed the back of her neck pressing her closer to him, he smiled into the kiss.
"I love you Nicole." Steve says, pulling away from the kiss.
