Hey bros, it's me, Oreo. Ok, before you guys say that this is lolicon bait, hear me out and let me tell you about this franchise real quick...since most of my audience probably won't know what this series is.
"In the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki". Originally a manga series that has gotten an anime adaption in the Spring 2022 season, but nobody was really watching it. Mostly because people were watching "Spy x Family", "Aoashi", and "Aharen-san is indecipherable" instead of this series.
The manga was created by Yamamoto Souichirou, the same creator as "Teasing Master Tagaki-san", and "When Will Ayumu Make His Move?". Both of these series are known for being cute slice-of-life rom-coms. However, this series is one where they decided not to make it a romance. While still having romantic themes in the story.
The original story follows a diligent ace Kunoichi named Tsubaki, she lives in a village full of young girls. The residents have only heard about males, but never seen them. While Tsubaki has grown more curious about the opposite sex, she starts to develop feelings for a man that she will never meet. The series is more centered learning more about the characters and the life of Tsubaki and her sisters, Asagao and Sazanka.
In my opinion...at first, I wasn't a fan of it. I dropped the anime after the first episode because I thought it was going to be a romance show. Then after a while, I was searching for a new series that I can make a fanfic about. I went through the anime lists, then stumbled upon this show again. I reluctantly watched the second episode, then realized what the point of this show was, and I kind of related it to Senran Kagura in a sense. I then started reading the manga, and that when it hit me, I could make this into the rom-com, like the rest of the creator's works.
And so, here we are. Starting my first fanfic of this series, and probably one of the only fanfics of this series. Because I couldn't find any in my own. Anyway, hope you guys enjoy my "The Ninja Boy in the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki" project...wow, that's a long title.
