Author Here! I noticed that I often switch up the speech patterns and will start putting in the speech patterns at the start of the chapter.
Also here's a thought I think you guy's should tell me on, should I change Ruby's name to Evo Rose? Ruby is no longer Ruby is the slightest from what she has endured, the weapon geek and sweet as diabetes girl will not be in this book.
She is a completely new being and I'm thinking of changing her name to suit her, what do you guy's think on her name being Evo Rose?

Yang woke up with a huge gasp of air and burst forward from the covers on Ruby's bed, her aura had cleansed her system of the radiation poisoning that Ruby had accidently given her, she looked around for Ruby and her father and she found no trace of either nearby.
That was until her father Tai threw open the bedroom door as he carried a almost dead looking Ruby, he was struggling as Ruby was now so much bigger than him by two feet and had a ten foot long tail to carry too, he also saw that Yang was finally awake and motioned for Yang to move.
"Dad why is Ruby like that?" Yang asked as her father set Ruby down onto her bed while Ruby was just barely breathing, he was silent once again as he beckoned Yang to follow him.
Yang was so confused on why he was so silent, her father had never been and never will be the silent type, she followed her father out the front door before her eye's widened and her breath hitched.
The forest that had surrounded their home to the north was gone, the entire area had nothing left of the once beautiful tree's and the mossy ground looked like molten glass that just cooled in the past few hour's. The devastation was so vast and pure that it looked like the world's biggest explosive had hit the forest, leaving nothing but the ground just barely intact.
"What the hell happened here?" Yang was horrified seeing the aftermath of what Ruby had done when she had been asleep, her father pulled out his scroll with the footage of yesterday playing on the holographic screen.
Yang eye's widened again as she saw the footage begin with Ruby's back and tail glowing a neon fiery purple, only for a pair of twin beam's of purple energy to leave Ruby's mouth and tail after seconds of charging up. The beam's Ruby released vaporized everything in it's path with a heat unrivaled by anything she had ever seen, the very air screamed in torture from the strength of the beam that killed Grimm by the hundred's.
The howl's of Grimm in agony as they were vaporized by the beam echoed through the scroll, the purple atomic beam soon became a firestorm that puffed into smoke as Ruby fell into hibernation, the last shot was the forest around their home being filled by a sea of orange and crimson flames.
Yang had never seen a living thing be able to destroy thing's so utterly without a trace, the entire world had never seen it as well and were terrified of what Ruby could do now, Yang looked up at her father with her mouth hanging open with horror.
"Your telling me Ruby can do that now?" Her father Tai's only answer was to gaze back to the remains of the forest to the north, a tear slipped past his eyelids and fell down a traced path to his chin.
