3RD PERSON POV
captain and player used to be not-so-close, with the whole zombie thing and stuff. but over time, they grew closer to each other. in that time period, player had began to gain feelings for captain, and one day decided to tell his best friend, veteran.
player texted veteran, asking him to come to their room. he waited, and a minute or two after, veteran came in.
"so what did you need due?" veteran asks
"i wanted to talk to you about captain..." player says
"yeah, i was wondering about that. why have you been acting so... different around him?
"well, that's because... promise you won't tell anyone" player says
"i won't tell anyone, and let me guess, you have a crush on him?" veteran says, raising an eyebrow
"is it obvious?"
"definetly dude! if captain wasn't so love-blind he'd know!"
"well, i still don't know about asking him. i'm too-" player gets cut off by someone opening the door
"asking who about what?" captain says
"i don't really know, but i think player wants to have a little chat with you, probably alone. i'm gonna go get a snack from the cafeteria" veteran says, getting up. player glares at him before he walks out the door.
"so, what did you want to chat about bestie?" captain asks
"um, well..." player trails off.
"are you ok player?" captain says
"y-yes! of course!" player says with a notice-able stutter.
"are you sure? are you nervous about something? you're stuttering a lot" captain asks. player was blushing quite a lot by now. "if you want me to leave, i can. but please, tell me if somethings wrong! i don't want you to-"
"i love you! ok!" player says, nearly shouting.
"... you do?"
"of course! you're loveable, kind, and absolutely adorable! i've had a crush on you for a while now, but with you calling me 'bestie' all the time, i thought you just thought of me as a friend. i didn't think you-" player's cut off by captain wrapping his arms around him.
"i love you too player" captain says.
the door opens again, to veteran standing outside.
"see player? was that so hard?" veteran says
"um, kinda?" player says. "*sigh* thank you though"
"you're welcome dude"
