Season 2 episode 2: a witches duel

Zatanna was surprised to hear that John had a daughter "I didn't know John had a kid" Lily let out a laugh "you know how he is sometimes..." zatanna looked at her with a puzzled look "the bigger question is what are you doing in New York" Lily was still holding Z hat when she let go of it"Etativel" her hat had floated over to her "thank you" Zatanna continued to look at Lily with a curious look "so are we just going to stand here out in the open or are you going to tell me where I can find a decent room" Z let out a laugh "I can tell your johns daughter"

Hotel Helios(btw I made the name up):
Z was unpacking her clothes and cleaning out her hat "so tell me...what's someone like you really doing here, besides to steal my act" Lily wanted to take out her letter from John but she was eager she didn't know if she could trust this woman "I didn't come here to steal anything as a matter fact John sent me here to catch a rogue demon" zatanna face lit up "a rogue?...he's still fighting demons" Lily felt something deep down she didn't know what it was so she ignored it "ya why wouldn't he be" Z was always worried about johns future no matter how many times she warned him about letting go of the past and the consequences that it came with she knew John wouldn't stop "John can be stubborn when he wants to I just didn't know he would let it get to him" Lily sat next to Z "in a way I guess I knew he would stop at nothing to protect his family"

Lily smiled as she looked at Zatanna "haha, believe it or not when he's in a certain mood john can be a family man other times he's still a bastard who thinks know one can save him" the two began to laugh. After awhile the two heard some screams coming down the hall "the hell" Lily and Zatanna rushed to see what the commotion was about...until they saw 5 people standing outside a woman door with blood on the floor "bollocks" Lily whispered "what happened" Zatanna saw one of the employees who was inside the room "I'm not sure I came to check on our regular and I found her here just like this" lily took out a playing card and turned it into a police ID "everyone step back, my name is sheriff swan this woman was murdered"

Zatanna looked  at Lily with a surprised look "she really is your daughter huh John" she said as she laughed a little under her breath Z had turned her outfit into a police uniform and began searching the place, she noticed that there was blood mixed with some kind of red scales "the hell" as she picked it up she brought it up to the light and noticed that the scales had a shimmer to it "sheriff come take a look at this" Lily went into the room and saw the scale that zatanna was holding "bloody hell, what is it"  Z wasn't exactly sure of what is was but she had an idea of who it might belong to "let's go pay them a little visit shall we" lily and Zatanna grabbed what they needed and left the hotel "we'll drive to my place I have everything I need to summon who I think it is" the two got in the car and drove away

"So this is your house?" Lily was amazed to see how big it was "yup, welcome to the house of mystery" lily looked at Z "looks like you and John have 2 things in common...you both know a lot about magic and you own big houses" Zatanna laughed "your his daughter, you know a lot more about magic than I do" Lily laughed a little "not really I'm actually still learning...that's the thing about magic is you can learn so much and know so little" Lily made small butterflies appear in her hand they were flying all around the place until she made them go away "even magic has its limits" Zatanna knew that spell very well she almost cried "about that scale?" Lily didn't want to think about the past anymore

"I ran afew test and did afew spells, it seems when I did those spells it was almost like the scale knew that what I was doing" Zatanna took out her wand along with her hat "did you try burning the scale?" Lily picked up the scale "What do you think the wands for" Lily tried so hard to not laugh. Z took a deep breath "Erif nrub" just like that there was a small explosion of fire. Z and Lily had to quickly put it out "what the bloody hell was that! I thought you were going to burn it not explode it into dust!" Zatanna put her wand away and looked at Lily with a angry look "at least I took care of the problem, the scale is gone"  Lily took a few deep breath's she knew that Zatanna made a point "so do you know who the scale belongs to?" Zatanna looked at her book "what's that?" Lily's eyes lit up with curiosity

"This? It's my book of spells my father gave it
to me when I was only 6" Z remembered all the
good things that happened to her she even
remembered her father giving her the book
"this should be an easy spell to perform, By any
chance do you know who Beelzebub is" Lily
took a deep sigh "unfortunately I do, he's one of the seven sins he was formerly worshipped in Ekron" Z was impressed "right, well if we
summon him he might tell us what we need to
know" Lily was a little worried "I know I don't
know you long enough to be worried but are
you going to be ok if you do this! I've
summoned many demons but if Beelzebub
possesses you in any way.... what I'm trying to
say is that I don't want to see you get hurt"
Zatanna let out a small laugh
"I understand
what your saying but your gonna have to trust
me and if it comes down to that your gonna
have to perform an exorcism"

Lily let out a sigh "ok...Let's do this" zatanna
put her hand on Lily shoulder "even though I
don't know you but I have faith in you" Z
smiled and just like that the two began working
on the spell "good luck" Z stood in the circle
she began chanting. Lily started walking
around the circle making sure everything was
going well, "Zatanna?" Everything went quiet
as soon as zatanna was down chanting she
quickly turned her head around "haha,
beelzebub what a surprise to see you again"
beelzebub began laughing'
"what a surprise a
once demon princess now back to a daughter of
the bastard himself.... Lily, to what do I owe the pleasure" Lily placed a small bottle of holy
water on the table "where's Desiree beel" when
beelzebub saw the small bottle of water he
laughed "I'm disappointed in you little
Constantine I thought John taught you better"
Lily was getting angry "you know I may not be able to hurt you since the body your currently
possessing just so happens to be the daughter
of a magician"

Beelzebub looked at his surroundings
"Damn it.Zatanna" he whispered "so technically speaking she can force you out and you'll return to hell.... where you belong" Lily grabbed a chair and watched as beel was getting annoyed "are you comfortable?" Lily laughed a little "a bit ya" beel "are you going to tell me what I need to know about Desiree?" Beel let
out a sigh "Desiree just so happens to be the
demon of desire it's in their name...when I
heard about what happened at the hotel I
laughed but Desiree got what they wanted the
hearts of the most desirable but turns out it
didn't work!" Lily was confused "the most
desirable? I think I've heard about the spell"
beel let out a soft chuckle "I'm not sure what
they really want and I'm not sure what they
really plan on doing but for your sake you
better have a decent plan"

As lily stood up she smiled gently at beel
"alright time to head back" beel was confused
"WHAT?!?. I just helped you" Lily let out a
laugh "you did but now I have no use for you..
so goodbye beelzebub "The Sacred Cross
commands you. The Star of David commands
you. The Omkar, the Lotus, and the Shahada
command you! Flee this place! Disperges in
ventum! Be not, and be gone!" Just like that
beel was gone while Zatanna came to she was
coughing and spitting "Easy there it's gonna be ok, Zatanna are you going to be ok" lily put her
coat around Z "I'm going to be ok.... however"
"Etativel reh" Z lifted Lily In the air "you lied to
me" she was mad "you lied about knowing who
the demon was back at the room what else are
you lying to me about"

Lily understood why she was mad "I'm not
lying about anything else everything I told you
In the bar was true I only lied to protect you"
Lily eyes turned red for a second "Ignis-sa" the
room was beginning to catch fire. Z couldn't
hold Lily In the air for long so she let go of her
to put the flames out "hsiugngitxe reif"the fire
had Been put out while Lily was slowly getting
up "I wasn't trying to lie I swear
a"' zatanna looked at her with anger and walked up the
stairs to the room "John what the hell did you
do" she whispered
