When Song Jungkook turned around to leave, Ruan Lisa called out to stop him, "Song Jungkook, even if you don't believe me. That dream felt really realistic. Do you know why I brought our son here? It's because I dreamed that you got into a car accident on the way to the airport. You can believe there's something wrong with my brain, but... I really feel uneasy about this."

Song Jungkook's calm expression didn't change. Of course, he didn't believe that Ruan Lisa was worried about his well-being. But, this explained why Ruan Lisa had brought their son over. She didn't have a reason to lie to him.

But, would Ruan Lisa really come looking for him and bring their son along because of a dream?

Song Jungkook still felt sceptical about this.

Ruan Lisa didn't give him the impression of someone that would be affected by a dream.

"What is that you want me to do because of this dream?" Song Jungkook asked.

Ruan Lisa thought; Song Jungkook's death in the novel might have genuinely been an accident. So, she could only say, "Just go along with my itinerary. Once we get back home, it'll be fine."

Song Jungkook looked at her. He nodded. "Okay."

After seeing Song Jungkook go back to his room, Ruan Lisa closed her door. The chubby kid was lying on her bed in a seductress's pose and looking at her. "Mom, come over here and sleep with me."

Ruan Lisa: "..."

As the two of them lay on the bed, the chubby kid told her stories about his nursery school. Ruan Lisa absently-mindedly listened. After about half an hour passed, he trailed off into silence. The chubby kid had fallen asleep. Ruan Lisa tucked the blanket around him, then she stepped onto the carpet with bare feet and stood before the floor-to-ceiling windows.

Although knowing the novel's plot was a cheat, she had been reading novels for a long time and had come to a conclusion: the plot couldn't be changed.

Right now, she desperately wanted to change the plot, but her interference might cause unforeseen misfortune.

All along, she had treated Song Jungkook as a character in the novel. But, when he finally stood before her and talked to her with that unenthusiastic expression, she realized that she had been wrong. He wasn't a thing that only existed in the lines of a novel. He was a real person.

It was then that Ruan Lisa searched her soul. She didn't view herself as a kind-hearted person, and sometimes her moral code wasn't that great either. However, her upbringing told her that she couldn't stand by and do nothing when she knew he was going to die.

Knowing that he was going to die if the plot wasn't changed, she couldn't remain indifferent.

And so, even at the risk of her life and the chubby kid's life, she didn't immediately leave.

She hoped that since the heavens had brought her here to become the novel's Ruan Lisa, they would also give her and the other two a way out of this predicament and to continue living.

She really hoped that everything was simply unnecessary worrying on her part.
