Song Jungkook and Li Jihyo were the last ones to arrive.

Li Taehyung had reserved a room in a seafood restaurant that was well-known in their city. The two tables in the room were full of people. Song Jungkook's arrival could be considered a minor climax of the evening.

Although Li Taehyung had reminded his friend to bring his wife, he wasn't surprised by Ruan Lisa's absence. He greeted Song Jungkook and gestured for him to sit down.

Li Jihyo very naturally sat down next to Song Jungkook.

Song Jungkook had been working while attending college, so other than his college roommates, he wasn't familiar with people that were only his college classmates.

"Why didn't you bring sister-in-law along?" Yang Mark, who had been one of Song Jungkook's college roommates said with a smile, "Let me think. The last time I saw sister-in-law was Little Woo's first month birthday. You didn't even bring her along to attend our classmate reunion today. Is she not going to come to Taehyung's wedding tomorrow too?"

There was really no need to mention it. Song Jungkook truly had no intention of bringing Ruan Lisa along to his friend's wedding.

"She's very busy." As usual, he used the all-purpose reason that had been used countless times.

"What's she busy with? Even a famous actress isn't as busy as your wife!" One of his former college roommates straightforwardly said, "Even a famous actress takes breaks. Old third, speak truthfully. What's going on between you and your wife?"

Actually, everyone had guessed that Song Jungkook probably didn't have a good relationship with his wife. Otherwise, why had she never had any of their gatherings in the past few years?

Li Taehyung smooth things over by saying in a cheerful tone, "Old second, you drank too much today. You should go to sleep before you start saying something you'll regret later. Otherwise, once your mind has cleared up tomorrow, it might be too late to apologize."

College roommates that got along well would become lifetime friends. Song Jungkook had a pretty good relationship with all of his former college roommates. He truly cherished these friends and maintained his friendship with them all these years.

However, even though they were very good friends, Song Jungkook wouldn't talk about his marriage to them. And so, even now, Li Taehyung, who was the closest friend to Song Jungkook in this group, had no idea how his friend and Ruan Lisa had gotten together.

In Song Jungkook's opinion, when it came to matters between a couple, even parents would be considered outsiders, much less good friends. Besides, he didn't want to say anything. What could he say?

Even if Ruan Lisa had used tricks and had ulterior motives, that was between the two of them. If he said the truth, what kind of position would he be putting her in? Besides, she was the mother of his child. In front of outsiders, even in front of people that he was close to, he would never say anything bad about her.

Song Jungkook raised the wine cup in front of him and stood up. "I was the latest one to arrive today, so I'll penalize myself with one cup."

He drained the cup of wine in one gulp.

How could it be okay to drink alcohol on an empty stomach? Li Jihyo tightly pressed her thin lips together. She felt that her older brother's friends were too much. They had pushed Song Jungkook into drinking. At the same time, she felt that Mrs. Song was too tactless. If her relationship with her husband wasn't good, why did she keep him trapped in a loveless marriage? Because of his wife, Song Jungkook couldn't enjoy the familial warmth that his peers could.

She raised up her wine cup and said with a smile, "I was one of the last people to arrive too. I should penalize myself too."
