Varay Aurae POV:

And here I thought an Asuran body would provide me with limitless stamina like Grey. How could a simple walk take so much out of me. We kept walking towards this castle in the distance. Each step I took would result in my leg straining further and further. It's as if we're stuck in a time loop again. Though we have confirmed that it isn't the case after sensing the Aether particles around us.

Arthur and I continued to walk for what seemed like hours. I understand how I'm able to keep up with all this pressure, but how is he? Most kids would've lost their patience by now. I know that he is unlike any kid I've encountered. Hell assuming he's just some snotty kid would be a costly mistake.

But how is he like this. He doesn't have the resources for special training or mana elixirs. He doesn't have a noble bloodline. Hell his family doesn't even live in a house of their own in Xyrus. He's just some commoner from a small and peaceful town in the middle of nowhere. So how did he evolve into such a fierce and sharp minded warrior. His swordsmanship is leagues better than mine. And I was trained by some of the best swordsmen in the world.

While some may assume that it's due to his time with Elder Virion, this may not be the case. From what I gathered, his family was attacked by bandits while on their way to Xyrus. He was separated from them while protecting his pregnant mother from a water spell. He even killed a man... at the age of FOUR. He then somehow made it to Eleanor after meeting Princess Tessia. And from what I gathered, he held his own against Elder Virion prompting him to use his beast will. He was always a master swordsman and highly cunning.

Something isn't right...

People aren't just born like this...

which means that he is still hiding something. Something important.

"-ra, Vera!" I was snapped out of my long analysis by the boy himself.

"The fog is starting to thicken. I believe that we should rest for a while. We need to replenish energy, and the last thing we need is to get lost in this blinding fog." He said.

I simply nodded in response. Any wrong step, and our course would change drastically. It's better safe than sorry.

We started to set up camp. I was surprised by how efficient Arthur was at adapting to live in the wild. Usually new soldiers wouldn't know how to set up camp, let alone do it with record time. He also gathered many essentials such as firewood and alcohol in case of any infected wounds... Although our healing as white cores would cancel any infection.

After we sat down near the newly ignited fire, I decided to stir up a conversation.

"So Note... What are we going to do once we get to the castle?" I asked.

"Oh relax will you. We'll sort it out once we get there." He said laying back effectively lowering his guard. It shook me how laid back he is. I'm seriously starting to question if he and Grey are the same person.

"What is wrong with you?" I asked coldly. Enough is enough...

"What are you talking about?" He questions... playfully.

"YOU! Ever since we arrived, you've taken everything as a joke. First gushing over snacks like some tourist. After that, you're playing with kids and buying them snacks. And now you are letting your guard down and not taking ANYTHING seriously. I just can't understand you. Are you a wise genius? Or are you just some immature child?!" I roared at him with rage. However, I was met with nothing but silence. He looked at me deadpanned which probably enraged me more than if he were to respond with actual words.

"Are you done with your little tantrum?" He questioned with a firm gaze and tone. This caused my eyes to flicker with rage and as I was about to scold him and lecture him about responsibility, I was cut off by his voice.
