Dangerously Yours (SERIE FEROCI 10)

Chapter Twelve

"Luisa..."

Napakurap ako. "H-huh?" 

Tumawa lang si Cadence sa gilid. "You scared her good, bro."

Hindi pinansin ni Caius si Cadence at naglakad palapit sa akin. He gripped my wrist and pulled me away from that building. Hindi na ako kumontra at nagpatianod sa kaniya. Isinakay niya ako sa kotse niya. Natigilan lang ako at humawak sa kamay niya. 

"Yung motor," bulong ko. 

He looked at me with disbelief. "That motorcycle shouldn't be your first concern right now."

Hindi na lang ako nagsalita. Pumasok na siya sa kotse at agad na pinaharurot ang sasakyan niya. We're both quiet the whole ride home. I don't know what to say, to be honest. I've been stalking him for three years. How come na hindi ko alam ang tungkol sa ganoong side niya? Pakiramdam ko, parang may mali. 

Agad na lumabas ng kotse si Caius. He opened the car door for me and pulled me out of the car. Nagpatianod lang ako sa kaniya nang dalhin niya ako sa loob ng bahay. Pinaupo niya ako sa couch. Napahawak na lang ako sa batok ko at tumingin sa kaniya. 

"Caius... Totoo ba 'yon? Hindi ba 'yon joke time?" tanong ko. 

Sa totoo lang, hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala sa nakita ko.

Caius remained quiet for a moment. He stroked his hair with his fingers and licked his lower lip. "Yes, I do kill people, together with my friends," he admitted. 

My mouth agape. I blinked twice, as if I tried to process his words in my mind. Tumayo ako at nakipagtagisan ng titig sa kaniya. I want to know through his eyes if he's telling the truth... but well, how can I know if those amber eyes are lying?

"I kill people and steal their wealth. That's my main job. My job as a professor is just a facade," he explained briefly. "So, now you know. I kill people. I'm a very bad man. What are you gonna do now? Are you scared? Or maybe... you don't like me anymo--"

I didn't even let him finish. Tinalon ko siya saka yumakap sa batok niya. Halatang natigilan siya at muntik nawalan ng balanse saka humawak sa baywang ko. I looked at his handsome face and kissed his cheek. 

"I was a little scared... scared for you. Paano kung may mangyaring masama sa'yo?" bulong ko. I hugged him tighter and nuzzled on his neck. "I don't care even if you're a killer..." I kissed his cheek again. "You're not perfect after all... Mas lalo lang kitang minamahal."

Halatang natigilan si Caius sa sinabi ko at napatitig sa akin. I smiled at him and hugged his waist.  He smells so good. 

"I love you," bulong ko saka mas yumakap sa kaniya. 

Hindi na lang siya nagsalita, pero hinayaan ako na yumakap sa kaniya. Sinamantala ko naman at niyakap ko siya nang todo. Baka mamaya o bukas, magbago na naman ang mood niya. 

"Are you really not bothered? I'm a killer, for heaven's sake," he whispered and gripped my waist a little harder. 

I smiled at him and shook my head. "I'm not bothered at all. Mag-ingat ka lang lagi, ha? It's too dangerous."

Caius chuckled. "You're more dangerous than my job, Luisa."

Napakagat na lang ako sa ibabang labi ko. "I'm harmless," I murmured. 

Caius raised his sexy eyebrow. "Harmless, huh."

I just shook my head and held his hand. "Caius. I have another gift for you."

"Hmm?"

"We're gonna sleep together from now on." 

Bahagyang lumayo sa akin si Caius saka humalakhak. "Your gift for me sounds only in favor for you."
