There was an undeniable yet still subtle skip in your step as Taehyung and you were making your way down to the apartment complex's underground parking lot together, gently swaying your interlocked hands while closely walking side by side with bright smiles painting your lips; the older had been the one to make the first move in holding your hand during the elevator trip down, to which you then had responded with by timidly intertwining your fingers and giving his warm hand a gentle squeeze— impossibly making the smiles on your faces grow brighter.

Unfortunately you both ultimately ended up having to pull apart upon reaching his parked car, though to your surprise, Taehyung suddenly proceeded to follow you over to the passenger's side before opening the door for you; the gentlemanly behavior slightly caught you off guard, yet also made you unable to contain the soft giggle which left your lips at the thoughtful gesture. Nonetheless, you piped out a grateful ''Thank you Taehyungie'' and quickly got into the car— not missing the way the older protectively ensured you wouldn't hit your head in the process before carefully shutting the door and heading over to the driver's side

It wasn't until the older yet again took out his car keys while getting into the driver's seat, that you finally noticed the all too familiar baby blue keychain that was attached to it, and so you subtly eyed the accessory curiously; not being able to recall ever having seen the keychain hooked to his car keys up until now

Taehyung seemed to have noticed your lingering gaze on the mentioned decoration, and soon let a warm chuckle emit past his lips whilst he playfully tickled your chin

Taehyung: Still have your one?

You flashed him a bright smile whilst nodding happily at the mention of the other pair to this mix-match keychain set that he had gifted you that day— one which you dearly treasured ever since, and oftentimes found yourself randomly admiring when there was an opportunity to do so

Jungkook: Of course I do, it's safely secured on my personal office key! This is the first time I'm seeing yours actually attached to something though

A gentle smile tugged at his lips while he reached over to caress the top of your head, his gaze fondly lingering on you while he spoke up in an almost reassuring manner

Taehyung: Well that's because I originally had it attached to the keys for the apartments storage room, though I recently ended up moving the keychain onto my car keys instead— hence why you haven't seen me use it up until now

This earned a breathy giggle out of you as you tilted your head slightly in a mixture of confusion and further curiosity, uttering out a soft ''Oh— but why did you choose to move them though?''; only making the olders gaze grow impossibly fonder

Taehyung: Because that way I can see it every day and think of you, dummy— not that you don't already cross my thoughts all the time as is...

Yet another warm giggle left your lips as you looked up into the olders admiring gaze once again— automatically falling into a comfortable silence whilst enjoying the arguably intimate eye contact you currently shared with each other, and upon noticing how Taehyung wordlessly began gradually leaning in closer, you slowly let your eyes flutter shut in anticipation of his soft lips hopefully meeting your own; heart fluttering excitedly as you could soon feel his warm breath on your skin, yet—

Taehyung: Buckle up Jungkook-ah.

Those words were shortly followed by the clicking sound of the seatbelt being fastened, so you bewilderedly open your eyes in slight disbelief only to see how the older retrieved back to his own seat whilst snickering softly to himself— instantly making you flush a bright crimson whilst timidly turning to look away from embarrassment, a subtle pout now forming on your lips as you mumbled out an audibly disappointed ''Kim Taehyung, you tease...'' while crossing your arms
