One week later

Days after defending Vale from the Grimm and the White Fang, the UN forces made a temporary staging ground in the shady part of the kingdom. Somehow and someway, they managed to turn the area into a more liveable area than in the past by building new buildings, playground for kids and many others. This shocked many of Vale after seeing what the soldiers are capable of and how quickly efficient they are at work. Not only that, the soldiers also made four checkpoints on four main entrances that connects the shady part to the rest of Vale for security purposes. At Beacon, the event that happened one week ago left a big impression on everybody's minds. You can't go anywhere without hearing the words "unknown soldiers" from someone's mouth. Many were shocked that the rumoured unknown military group actually exists

Yang: I can't believe that these guys actually exist. Like how can they stay hidden for so long?

She said as she, her team and Team PRAN are walking around the hallway of Beacon since class is cancelled for two weeks

Ruby: Yeah, but did you guys see their weapons? I wanna inspect them!

She said dreamily as she fantasise of the weapons that the Marines. She is really eager to experiment on how quick they all shot and what caliber the rounds are

Nora: Yes! Think about those explosions! They have a huge blast radius!

She too said dreamily as she fantasise the bombs, missiles and tanks. She could obviously rule the world as Queen with Ren at her side as her Knight in Shining Armor. The weapon geek and explosive maniac went off on their own world as everybody else sweat drop

Alex: All agree to not let them out of our sight, say aye

He said as he put up his hand followed by everyone else while saying "aye". They all agreed to not have the two maniacs let loose as they are afraid of what they'll do to the soldiers

Weiss: Back to the topic at hand, do you guys think that their technology is a bit...primitive? Like they don't have vehicles like Atlas's mechs and their aircrafts seems to be weird

She said as she thought on how weird the shape of UN vehicles were

Pyrrha: And yet, they were able to hold the Grimm at bay for minutes and have the firepower to kill a Wyvern

She said as she also thought back on the UN forces were able to kill a Wyvern easily like a bug. Weiss let out a frustrated sigh

Weiss: Exactly! Like what type of dust could achieve such raw power to kill a Wyvern with just four missiles?

She huffed as she crossed her arms

Ren: Well, all we can do is, not get in their way

Everyone agreed with Ren's statement. As they talked, someone rounded a corner in front of them, and that someone is none other than Jaune

Ruby: Jaune?

That got everyone's attention causing them to look up seeing him walking pass them while having a distant look as he blow out a bubble gum. Yang was ready to walk straight up to him wanting to punch him but was held back by Ruby shaking her head. He continued his path as both teams followed behind him

Weiss: What is he doing here? People like him shouldn't wandered off to where they don't belong too

Pyrrha: You're right, but what about the time when we met him after months? He was with people that we don't know ourselves and he acted differently than before

She said making a good point crossed their minds except Alex as he pretty much didn't met the guy. It just struck most of them weird
