She is feeling happy for no reason
It's his class....in 15 mins.
To hear him share his wisdom
That boyish smile he gives when he cracks a joke.... Which by the way he is doing very often.
His confident body language
He seldom refer to his notes in class.
He is just too good in what he does.
His presence is the only comfort in this place which is not his home.

She is walking towards the classroom when she saw huda and ud
Chatting and coming towards her direction
Giving her the depressing news that the class has been cancelled.

She turned back in disappointment wondering why he cancelled his class.

Next day it was again a commotion when the schedule got shuffled again .

"Sharukh ki class phir nahi hai....
Aj phir Naina mood off kar ke ghumegi"
Pooja gave a nonchalant statement while typing on her phone....
It has become more apparent now to her friends that what effect rajveer's presence or absence do to her poor friend.

While Naina tried to hide her anxiety caused by his sudden disappearance.....
His disappearance is always followed by him being injured in hospital or being held up by some nuisance maker.
He always manage to put a small show everytime
She hates for having those ideas....
But it's negativity bias ... We think and think the worst that could happen to us or our loved one....

And one more day pass without any news about him.....

"Sir pehli bar to aise gayab nahi hue hai...
Wo intelligence officer hain.... Abhi sabko msg broadcast karke to nahi jayenge na ...."

Alekh tried to explain her ....

"Han par mujhe to bata ke ja sakte the na "
She spat out in frustration before leaving him with a knowing grin on his face....
Only if she would have seen that.

It's been a week now
And she is now visibly agitated........

"Ye bar bar lauki kyun bana dete hai.....
Aur koi sabzi nahi milti kya inhe....
Pata hai ke zayadatar log ye nahi khate"
She said in a passive aggresive tone ..
And got look of understanding from her friends.

"May I come in sir"
She asked

And abhimanyu got really surprised....
She never knocks his door....
He knows that her loyalty lie somewhere else.

He gave her a sly I know why u r here look
and said nothing and arranged the papers in the folder before keeping it aside
While she kept waiting for him to address her.

"No Naina
I have no idea where he is gone...."
He said without looking at her direction even before she ask anything

While she is trying to keep her hand hand busy with a book she is holding.
Not so amazed that he figured out her reason of showing up.

"But I believe that brigadier chandok knows something but obviously he is not going to share the information....
It's confidential"
He added

He saw her disappointed face and felt actually bad for her.

"I am sure he will be back soon
Then we can ask him where he was and even punch on his face for being a jerk"
He tried to cheer her up.

And she managed a smile

And Naina left with a thank you nod.....

She wondered if she can contact chaubey somehow
He seems to be a close associate of him
But is he is gone for something that's confidential then she better not meddle
It can get him into trouble

Only if he would have told her once before leaving.
For how long he will be gone
When to expect him back

In case of emergency how to contact him
All these things are vital.....
She believes that she has all the right to know about his whereabouts..... Or atleast she wants to believe.....

Sometimes she tries to imagine if she hadn't met him at all...
Without him, would she have been reached till here....
Without his counselling, how she would have channelized her pain and anger.

Her rage was destructive for herself first
If not him she would have been perished by now.

With extreme emotions and uncontrollable anger you can't be productive.
And he somehow always manage to sooth her down.....
So that she can shine with her best potential

Respect, gratitude, kinship, friendship, reverence, approbation
There are so many emotions she feel for him

The joy she feels when around him
It's hard to explain
She can't keep finger on exactly what is going on in her heart nowdays

His smile draw her heart toward him
Whenever he is talking she gets enchanted his eyes knows how to lure her attention

And the best part
When he keep her above everything else.

Laying on her bed tonight
She can't help but feel the pain of this new found proximity between them.

He is important
His value has become salient in her life
His significance is hard to overlook for others as well. And sometimes Puja or alekh have a slip of the tongue about it too

She closed her eyes praying for his safety
As hard as she can
Wishing to see his face again
A face so handsome and kind
A face she trust and admire
A face she counts on when in need.
A face that has become vital part of her being.

Her chest felt heavy
Her eyes were moist.
Her heart ached as she realised that he is so special and although she learn how to survive without her brother
But she is certainly not ready to loose one more precious person of her life.

This cadet Naina ah Singh cannot survive without her rajveer sir.....
She might not know many other things
But this she knows for sure
