what's up, diary?
back at it again with reason number five.
he wasn't always toxic, but i guess that's what everyone says. he wasn't at the beginning. of course he wasn't; if he was, we wouldn't be here right now. anyways.
it was little things at first. brushing me off, rescheduling or cancelling plans, telling me he was busy. then, it started to get worse. telling me i was crazy, telling me i was over dramatic. telling me i asked for too much. blaming me for things going wrong. at first, i believed it. it wasn't until the things he said started to sound crazy that i realized he was gaslighting me.
a bit disappointed in myself for taking so long to realize it, but i was committed to the relationship. i had already put in so much of my time and effort that it just didn't feel like something worth losing.
