Chapter 42: "Ziplining"

Tris POV

After the rankings, Me and Tobias head to the cafeteria for lunch. We get our orders and sit with the gang.

"So, guys? What are we gonna do today? It's Wednesday and Stage 2 doesn't start until next Monday." I ask.

"Shopping?" Christina suggested.

"No." All of us said.

"Maybe we could go Ziplining!!!" Uriah said and I can feel Tobias tense up beside me.

"Yeah. That's a good idea." Mar said.

"Yeah. Let's go later maybe at 7:00ish?" Zeke said.

"Sounds good." Chris said clapping her hands.

"I think I'll pass." Tobias said.

"Ohhh, c'mon dude! Don't be such a party pooper!" Uriah said.

"Aawwwwww! Come on, T-Four! Please! Can you come with us?" I say giving him my best puppy dog face while batting my eyelashes. He stares at me for a few seconds.

"No." He said sternly and I pout at him.

"Uugggghhh! " Zeke said as he slaps Tobias' back.

Uriah POV

Me an the gang head towards the train tracks. We're going to the Hancock Building for ZIPLINING!!! I'm so excited!!!

The only ones coming are Me, Tris, Zeke, Mar, Chris, Will, and Lynn. Shauna has an excuse because she's pregnant but Four is just being such a party pooper, I wonder why. Nehhh, I don't care about those pansycakes. I just wanna go Ziplining!!!

Tris POV

We wait for the train to arrive, and after a few minutes, I hear a familiar train horn. I feel a little sad that Tobias is not here with me. His fear of heights kicked in again. Uriah pulls himself up first, then Zeke, then Me, then Lynn, then Chris, Marlene, and Will.

It's a good fifteen-minute ride from Dauntless to the Hancock Building. We jump out of the train and enter the tallest building in Chicago. Uriah insisted that we take the stairs because it's more 'fun'. I mean who would take the stairs towards the 100th floor of a building? But Uriah being the stubborn butthole as he is, made us take the stairs.

We are just in the 15th floor when Uriah fell into the floor panting.

"What are you doing? I thought you wanted to take the stairs?" Zeke said kicking Uriah on the floor.

"I'm not gonna make it." He said out of breath.

"Shut up and get your fat ass off the floor. Do you want to go ziplining?" Zeke said. Uriah immediately shoots up from the floor and say,

"Hell yeah!"

"Then come on!" Mar said walking up the steps.

We reach the top floor panting. That was super tiring. I'm never gonna take the stairs again. We walk to the edge of the building and Zeke started setting up the harness of the zipline.

"I go first!" Uriah said jumping up.

"Yeah, whatever." Christina said.

"Meanie." Uriah said pouting. Christina just rolled her eyes

"C'mon Uriah." Zeke said bored.

"YASSSSSSS!!!!!" He said and Zeke secured the harness for him.
