Chapter 3|Dinner

I safely arrived home and straight up looked for mom and dad to see how they're doing.

"Mom, dad, im home na po!" I shouted while opening the front door. When i got inside the house, i noticed that it was so quite and peaceful like no one was living here. "Yaya? Yaya!" I screamed.

"Yes po ma'am Agatha?" Tanong ni yaya. "Ya, asan sina mommy and daddy? akala ko virtual lang yung meeting nila with clients and owners kanina?" I asked.

"Ay iha, umalis yung mommy mo kasi may importanteng meeting daw na dapat sa office. Yung daddy mo naman, pumuntang restaurant para bumili ng pagkain kasi sabi nya mag tatake-out daw kayo ngayon." She responded.

I thought pag uwi ko okay na sila, yun pala di naman magkasama. Anyways after my convo with yaya Emily, i waited for mom and dad nalang to arrive kasi excited ako kung ano binili na pagkain ni daddy.

*few minutes later*

I heard the doorbell rang ang I opened the door. I had such a big smile when i saw na magkasama sina mommy and daddy umiwi. "Thank God you guys are finally okay na" I said.

Yaya started to set the table and we began to eat. As we were eating, i told my parents about the new friend i met at school.

"Mom, dad may bago pala akong kaibigan sa school kanina. His name is Seb and we actually have the same surname as him. Quite ravishing isn't it? Haha" I said.

Dad got choked on his dinner when he heard I mentioned Seb's name.

"What's his full name Agatha?" Dad asked.
"Sebastian Nicholas Duterte po dad" I responded.

Mom and dad glared at each other pero di ko alam bakit. Baka kasi na shock na because the first friend i made is a boy pa talaga.

"May problema po ba mom? Dad?" I asked because i was so confused. "Ahem, nothing my love. Nagulat lang, thats it" Mom responded.

We continued eating dinner and again, mom and dad became silent. I couldn't control it anymore seeing both of them being so cold to eachother. Eh di ko nga alam if magkaaway sila eh. So I couldn't do anything else but confront and ask them.

"Seriously? Again? Kanina pa kayong umaga. Di ba talaga kayo mag uusap? Para akong timang dito who is always the one who makes up a topic para lang di mukhang patay at walang tao 'tong bahay." I said angrily.

"Agatha go to your room." Mom said while giving me a death stare. "Bakit ba mom? For once naman ayusin nyo ang lahat if ever may away man kayo ni daddy!" I shouted.

I ran upstairs to my room and slammed the door. I know naman na what im getting mad about isn't really a valid reason pero baka nagalit lang sila kasi nga boy ang friend ko. I started to cry and screamed my heart out. Buti at sound proof ang room ko so they wouldn't realize na umiiyak ako.

Maria's (Mom) POV:

I became silent when Agatha went upstairs. Kasi ayoko syang pigilan at baka itatanong nya pa sakin ang mga tanong na di ko masagot. "Rod, wag mo sabihin sakin na yung kaibigan ni Agatha is yung an-" I said when Rod interrupted. "Anak. Oo anak ko si Sebastian. Anak namin nung asawa ko noon." He said.

"Ano gagawin natin pag nalaman ni Agatha to?" I said nervously "Di natin sasabihin unless this situation will get more worse." He said.

"Let's have a family meeting tomorrow by 3:00 pm after my meeting with Mr. Serrano." He said. "But what about Agatha's music class?" I asked.

"I'll have her bodyguard go to the academy and tell them that our daughter will not be going to school tomorrow." He said  "Hon naman, dont you think this is too much? Pwede naman na we will have this family meeting sa weekends ah?" I said.

"My decision is final. Im packed up with alot of schedules this week and i cannot cancel any of it Hon. Tara na matulog na tayo." He said.
