She requested a poem of him,
Maybe... to discover What's within.
He has Nothing to say but only that his soul is thin,
He lives his life day by day, only with the aid of his gin.
Nothing seems to matter
Not the second,the minute Or even the hour.
His nights passed uneventful His days motionless and dreadful.
What She wants to know?
How can he show?
Ignorant he is, of the tree that'll be growing
And of the wind that'll be blowing
Drowning in his sorrows
Walking a path he wishes not to follow.
Oh, how did his life become so narrow!
Such is the bottled life he keeps within.
Such is the poem She requested of him.
