Calhoun woke up with Clay cuddled up next to him.
Cute, Calhoun thought. Clay snored. Loudly.
Annoying, Calhoun thought, though he had to fight the urge to run his hand through Clay's fluffy golden hair. Calhoun didn't want to wake him up, but he had to since they had work.
"Clay," He said. Nothing.
"Annoying ray of sunshine," this time, Clay woke up.
"Wh-What did you call me?" Clay asked.
"Nothing, now get up, we have work." Calhoun said. Clay groaned and got ready.
"President Madison, we need to go to war with Britain, lest they keep stealing our ships and seamen!" Clay made an impassioned cry on the floor of the House of Representatives.
Damn, Calhoun thought. He's a good orator. More people will be on our side.
Clay stopped talking.
"People are listening to us, is that an excuse to get sloshed at the tavern?" Clay asked.
"N-" Clay didn't listen to Calhoun's objection.
(Wow that was short. I can't write long chapters to save my life.)
