3rd Person POV:

The war that would later be called "The War of 1812" was going badly. Henry Clay traveled to Ghent to help negotiate a treaty. After the treaty was signed, a certain General Andrew Jackson defeated the British at the Battle of New Orleans. After the victory, he recklessly took Florida from the Spanish and Seminoles.

"I can't believe it! I traveled all the way to Europe just for some hillbilly general to take my thunder," Clay pouted. Calhoun rested his hand on Clay's shoulder.

"Your role in the end of the war was equally if not more important than his," Calhoun said.

"But Jackson's gaining so much popularityyyyyyyyy," Clay whined. Calhoun rolled his eyes.

"Henry. It's just a battle. Jackson won't be a threat to any of your political ambitions."

Clay sniffled. "You're probably right." He wrapped his arms around Calhoun, who froze like a statue.

"Come on John, let's go to that bar again," Clay said.
