Calhoun POV:
"Come on... I couldn't have been that drunk last night," Henry grumbled. I laughed.
"You played the fiddle and spun me around," I said.
"So? Did I do anything... more concerning?" Henry shrugged.
"You told someone you loved me," I said.
"Well... I do," Henry said.
"You WhAT?!" I was in shock. Feck it I was blushing like mad.
"Hahahahaha! Your face! But it's true! Ever since we bunked together at this boarding house, I've had great admiration that turned into profound longing for you John!"
I was speechless. Henry wasn't.
"Ever wonder why I put you and all of the South Carolinians closest to the furnace? I wanted y'all to feel somewhat at home and comfortable!" I blushed even more.
"I have always wanted to kiss you awake in the morning before we go to work!"
"Henry, I always wake up first," I rolled my eyes, and ran my hand through his hair. I pulled my hand back as soon as I realized what I'd done.
Was I... also catching feelings?
