"I can't believe he got that fucking solo," I announce to the rest of the team as I roll my eyes, my hands flicking the lighter as I bring a cigarette to my lips

"I can't believe he got that fucking solo," I announce to the rest of the team as I roll my eyes, my hands flicking the lighter as I bring a cigarette to my lips. "Of fucking course that little dick would get everything he wanted."

I fucking hate Eldon. I mean, I don't really give a fuck who dances the solo at nationals, but I was hoping either Daniel or Hunter would be awarded that position instead of fucking Eldon.

He's cocky enough as he is, he doesn't need anything else to inflate his ego.

"Daniel should've won it," West adds from beside me, anxiety crossing his features as he looks to Daniel's uncaring eyes.

"Don't try that with me right now, not after what you've done," he quips back quickly, his face expressionless.

I turn back to look ahead of me, bringing the cigarette to my lips as I inhale some smoke, trying my best to hide the chuckle that is threatening it's way out of my lips.

Riley and Daniel are both being so dramatic, just because West and I are friends with Michelle again, doesn't mean that we've suddenly become the most insufferable and disgusting human beings possible.

I've tried to make up with Riley, but she won't hear it, she just keeps telling me how much I've betrayed her.

I know that it seems that way, but Michelle is one of my best friends, and I'm on Emily's side completely, but I can't just forget about my friendship with Michelle.

She's not going to be happy when she finds out that I'm giving Michelle and Hunter a ride home from the studio today, another great day to have a girlfriend who overthinks fucking everything.

"I personally think I should've gotten the solo," Hunter speaks up, and the rest of us look back at him, shooting him a glare.

He's entitled, that guy. I don't think I like him, I know I definitely don't like it when he flirts with Riley in front of my fucking face.

I told Michelle I'd give him a chance to win me over, but I seriously fucking doubt that we'll ever be friends.

"Of course you do, you want everything for yourself, just like Michelle," Emily mutters underneath her breath, only just loud enough for the rest of us to hear her.

I bring my cigarette to my lips, once again using it to mask my laughter. I can't help but find this whole situation funny.

Here we are, the entire team, excluding Eldon who had to stay behind thankfully, stood together outside the studio. We look like a happy little group of friends, but we're divided, and I feel my lips curl upwards into a smirk as I reflect on the fact that this is just like it always has been. Our team arguing, nothing fucking new.

"Bottom line is, fuck Eldon," Hunter shrugs in response to Emily's quip, and he turns to Michelle, a different kind of smirk edging over his lips. "No offence, and please don't take that literally."
