"𝐐𝐈𝐐𝐈! 𝐁𝐄 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐅𝐔𝐋, 𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐓 𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐏 up on your costume." i tried my best to calm my daughter down. the small child had a large smile on her face as she clutched a small pumpkin bucket in her hands. i couldn't help but smile at the sight infront of me. suddenly the door rang, and i opened it to reveal one of my friends, ganyu.

"hey! thanks again for offering to take care of qiqi tonight."

the blue haired girl yawned slightly, clearly showing a lack of sleep. "no worries y/n!" she knelt down to my child's level. "you ready for some trick-or-treating little one?" the purple haired girl began jumping up and down, clinging onto ganyu's arm. "i'll return her in a few hours! bye lovebirds~"

i waved them off shutting the door behind me before i felt a familiar arm wrap around my waist from behind. xiao's breath tickled my neck as he hugged me tighter. i turned around to meet his face as he cupped my cheek with his hand. "are you ready?" i nodded, staring deeply into his eyes.

"HORROR MOVIE MARATHON!" we both shouted, before running towards the tv.

i snuggled into my husbands chest as his arm wrapped around my waist, pulling me closer. he turned on the tv with his free hand, finding a random movie then pressing play. "so my love, how are you with horror?" he asked me, looking down at me with a teasing smirk. i smirked back. "i bet i'm better than you." we both giggled quietly, before erupting into loud screams when there was a jumpscare.

we had number into each others arms, warmth radiating off our bodies. "w-who the hell pits a jumpscare right at the beginning of the film?! they must be crazy." my head was hiding in xiao's chest, as he massaged my back gently.

he cleared his throat, recovering from his shocked state. "i-its fine, i'm sure there won't be any more for a whi-" he was cut off by another scream. this time it was his turn to burrow his head into my chest. i played with his hair as i was dying with laughter.

"what were you saying again? there won't be another jumpscare for a while?" i couldn't help but mock him.

"shut up.." his voice was muffled and adorable. he just pulled me closer to him.

"awe you're so cute xiao." he looked up at me, eyebrows furrowed with a bright hue of blush spread across his face. i bent down to join my lips with his. i was about to pull away when xiao placed his hand on the back of my neck, pulling me into a deeper kiss.

we pulled away after a few seconds, a small smile on xiao's face. "i love you so much." he said, his smile widening.

"of course you do. you married me after all."

"i was trying to have a moment y/n."

"we are having a moment, dumbass."

"you're lucky i love you."

we went back to watching the movie, occasionally hugging eachother even tighter when there was a scary part of the film.

after the film, we were both shaking, absolutely terrified. "xiao we are adults. we shouldn't be this scared."

"yeah well. maybe we should do something else." he nodded, taking my hand leading me into the kitchen where there lay two small pumpkins on the table. he threw me a knife as i shuffled my hands in a panic to catch it.

"what the hell, xiao! are you trying to kill me! what are we doing anyway?"

"carving pumpkins. you idiot."

"oh. yeah that makes sense." xiao stifled a laugh as he began carving his pumpkin, glancing at me every now and then. i raised one eyebrow, when he looked at me, a smile creeping across his face.

"what design are you doing?"

"something beautiful. you'll have to wait and see."

i decided to focus on my own pumpkin, searching up some design ideas on pinterest. once i chose one i was happy with i got to work, carefully dragging the knife through the pumpkin skin.

after around half an hour, i had completed my pumpkin. "are you ready to see my masterpiece?" i spin my pumpkin round so the pattern was visible. xiao broke into a huge smile, looking down at the ground. "oh my god you're so cute..."

he then spun his around, and i saw a portrait...of me.

"i told you i was carving something beautiful." he winked at me, walking over to me pulling me into a tight hug. i hugged him back.

"i know i've already told you this, but i really
do love you, y/n."

"i love you too, xiao."
