I lost count of how many weeks I have been on this island. I have no service, no electricity to charge my almost-dying phone, almost out of clean clothes. Worse, I can't find any laundry shops here.
Unti-unti na akong naco-convince na I'm not in 2027 anymore. Ang weird na kahit ilan na common products that you see anywhere, I can't see here. Don't get me started with their currency.
"May nangyari ba?" Tala asked when she came back from getting woods in the forest.
I lost count of how many weeks I have spent with her too. After niya tumakas sakanila, hindi na siya ulit bumalik. That's one of the reasons kung bakit hindi siya tumatapak sa bayan. Everyone knows her and she said baka hinahanap na rin siya ng mga tauhan ng ama niya.
Her wounds are healing too, her bruises gone, and she looks less sad and lonely too.
"Paano ako maglalaba?" Tanong ko habang nakatingin sa bundok bundok ko na labahin. Nanlumo ako lalo when I realized I'm also almost out of undergarments.
"Balak ko rin na maglaba dahil paubos na ang mga natitira ko na damit," Tala suddenly said which made my face brighten.
"Saan?" Napatayo ako. "Sasabay ako!"
She smiled and patted my head. "Masyadong marami ang iyong mga damit, Luna. Maaari lamang na ihiwalay mo ang mga kaya mo labahan. Aantayin kita rito sa labas."
Tumango tango ako habang may malawak na mga ngiti. I could've just told her what my problem was these past few days, lalo ko pa talagang pinarami mga labahin ko!
Hindi naman ako tamad at maarte, siguro medyo, but I think kaya ko maglaba ng medyo marami. I just took comfortable clothes and nilagay ko na sa bag ko na medyo malaki para mag fit ang mga lalabhan ko.
"What the fuck. . ." Was all that came out of my mouth nang dumating kami sa isang batis.
