CHAPTER 30- BEAST

Olivia's pov

I looked over at Derek and see the hold he had on my wrist. Derek was sweating but his hold on my hand was tight. He was standing infront me, trying to hide me fully with his small frame away from the starved beasts. I know he is scared just from his change in scent but was determined to protect me. I should make Derek is safe. I don't want any kind of danger happens to Derek. He is too innocent to be tangled in these mess of mine.

I looked ahead tilting my head to the left to see the three rogues were now standing infront of us. The drools of saliva was falling to the ground drop by drop from their sharp fangs. The anger takes control over me and my eyes turned red while my fangs began to grow. HOW DARE OF THEM TO ENTER INTO THE PACK AND DARE TO SHOW INFRONT OF ME ?.

Derek tightens his hold on wrist, gulping looking around cautious before he say

"RUN"

The rustling sounds of dried leaves, running footsteps and the heavy breathing was the only sound that can be heard. Everything was fast, before i know what's happening, i was running with Derek not knowing where. It was dead dark and the night was in its peek, makes hard to see each other. But he still had a strong hold on me, afraid of if i would taken by the beasts if it loosened a bit.

"Don't worry, everything is well and you are safe with me" He said hugging me close breathing hard hiding us both behind a big tree. We hugged each other not know how long listening to each others heart beat. I know the rogues were near and i can't do anything when Derek is present, so i tried to mind link Aaron but his link was blocked.

"You stay here, i will go and check wheather there is someone out there to help us. Don't worry i will come and get you after that, okay?" Derek said looking at me joining our foreheads caressing my cheeks.

"NO, YOU CAN'T!. I will go and check. You stay here." I said instantly shaking my head. I can still hear the sound of the rogues that was not far from us. They are too close and it is dangerous out there to leave Derek alone.

"Oli, what are you even saying? It isn't the time to joke." He said narrowing his eyes shaking his head.

"Then... I will be coming with you. I can't leave you alone, please understand." I desperately shook my head. I know it is dangerous and i couldn't leave Derek alone.

"Oli, don't worry, i will be safe on my own. It is too dangerous and i can't risk your safety. So you stay here and i will be back." He said pressing each words.

" Derek I-"

"Olivia, what i said is final and you are staying HERE!!." He said looks like he don't want to hear any more arguments and that's final, making me to grit my teeth in anger and look away. What is his problem?. Why can't he just understands?. I don't want anyone's protection and i am well capable enough to protect myself. I am a fucking Alpha!. The fuck!.

"Olivia" He called but i didn't look up.

"Olivia, look at me." He called again caressing my chin smoothly.

"Oli, please." He pleaded with full of desperation in his eyes.

"What?" I half shouted lifting my eyes that was casted on ground being mad at him.

"Oli, i am saying you to stay here because i can't stay calm while you are with me in such a danger and i will be always afraid of what if something happened to you. I wants to make sure you are safe." He said in soothing voice looking at me taking my both hands in his and caressing them.

"So i am. I am also afraid of what if something happened to you, Derek. Why can't you understand?. I know how to protect myself and i am not a weakling as you think i am!. I am more stronger than you seems." I argued back makes him sigh.

"You don't get it what i am saying. I don't think you as a weakling, okay?. I know maybe you can protect yourself but i am afraid. I am afraid of something bad happening to you. I am afraid of you getting hurt. I am afraid what if i can't protect you. So please Olivia, i beg you. Please listen to me this time." He said with a desperate look.

I kept silent for sometime not taking my eyes off from him. We both looked at each other for a minute studying each others eyes.

"O-okay but promise me you'll be look after yourself for me. Don't you dare to fall in danger and i will kill you if something bad happened to you." I said punching his stomach lightly.

"You will kill me if something happened to me?. Does it make any sence?" He said smiling gaining another punch from me.

"How can you even smile in these kind of situations? Aren't you afraid of getting killed?" I asks playfully.

"I am a man with strong will power, so don't underestimate me Olivia. You are yet to see who the real Derek is." He said smiling makes me to roll my eyes.

"You stay here and don't come out. I will definitely come and get you, okay darling?" He said giving me a peck on my lips gaining a nod from me before turn and walk away.

"Derek" he stopped and turned around hearing me but i smashed our lips for a quick kiss pulling him closer closing my eyes.

"Be safe" i said looking at him scared. I know the rogues are out there.

"I will." He said before running away from me.

Derek's pov

I was walking for five minutes straight but there isn't any sign of the beasts. The night was dark and it is difficult to see anything, everywhere was pin drop silence and only the sound of my footsteps or humming of a bird can be heard. Does anyone in the party noticed our absence?. I don't think they did, most of them must be drunk by now.

I am regretting now leaving Olivia alone. She must be standing there alone in the darkness being afraid of all alone. But taking her with me is more dangerous. I don't want anything bad happens to her. I shouldn't agreed to come to the forest in the first place. If anything is going to happen then it has to be me. I will protect her with my life.

I stumbled back when a sudden growl heard from behind me. I turned back immediately but nothing was there. I looked around cautiously breathing unevenly. It was dark made me difficult to see. It was my first time seeing those animals. They looks like a starved beasts who didn't get anything to eat in months.

I looked back turning my head slightly to see a brown wolf who showing it's sharp fangs looking at me like a prey. It made a shiver to run through my spine. I was sweating too much and my heart was beating fast. I run with my life not turning around but i know i was not fast enough.

I stopped when the two of other wolfs strangled me from the front. I was in their trap. I don't think i can leave from here alive. I looked around searching any other way of escape but flinched before falling down twisting my leg when both of them growled together. The pain from my leg was immense. I tried to stand up but i couldn't. Does it is really my end?.

I looked around gulping, when the beasts starts to walk circling around me. Does i am going to die like this?. Olivia, does she is safe?. I wanted to know, i wanted to bring her back home. Why am i so pathetic?. Riya..i wanted to see her too one last time. Does she will be okay? I wanted to hug her....

I closed my eyes turning my head when the one of them ready to jump up on me, accepting my death. There isn't anything i can do anymore. But i opened my eyes when the pain didn't come. They weren't now looking at me, instead their eyes were casted something behind me. But the fear in those eyes was enough for me to believe that whatever it is, wasn't any good for me. I gulped in fear and turned my head slowly but bulged my eyes seeing a majestic black wolf with red eyes stand behind me showing its sharp fangs twice big as them.
