For Xavier Miles Stokes whom I love
Do you know how far we've traveled?
In the time that we have been on earth together we have traveled 9.928 billion miles
That's about 17 trips around the sun
Do you see how far we've come?
From strangers to acquaintances then best friends and now here we are
With your arms around me
The memories span the good days and the bad
The little things we know about one another
The way your muscles tense under my touch
The way your gentleness is like no other
The way you manage to prove to me that this world is a more beautiful place with me in it
This world travels 584 million miles a year
We have about 15 miles in between us
The distance isn't important
As long as you love me Miles.
