lloyd's pov

ugh, where am i?

  i open my eyes and feel a sharp pain in my chest, like burning.

  "aah!"

  lying back down, i glance around.

  im in my bed in the monastery. how did i get here? i have a vague memory of being carried, and shot... oh my gosh, what happened to garmadon?! did he escape...?

  i sit up quickly, this time ignoring the pain. ive got to find him!

  "you're awake!" a voice says. i turn to see harumi in the doorway. "don't you dare move, i'll go get you some water. and some ice cream."

  she runs off and i sit anxiously waiting.

  all i remember is being hit by garmadon and passing out and now i'm here. so... did we lose? did he get away?? my mind runs through every situation that might have happened. at least rumi's ok, but what about the other ninja?! what if garmadons got them, or what if-

  "we ran out of mint chocolate chip, so i brought cookie dough." harumi walks back into the room with a bowl of ice cream and a bottle of water. "sorry, i know green's kinda your thing."

  "did we get him??" i ask her quickly.

  harumi smiles. "yup, we got him."

  i breath a deep sigh of relief and take a large bite of ice cream.

  "that's good." i wave my hand towards the ice cream. "thanks for this."

  "no problem."

  we sit for awhile while i eat. being here, with harumi, sitting like this reminds me of the time in my car. it feels like months ago when actually, it was only a few days ago.

  "how's everyone else?" i ask.

  "their good." harumi responds. "they're all playing video games now." she snorts. "they're pretty passionate about it."

  i laugh. it kind of hurts. "yeah, yeah they are." then i frown, remembering.

  "wait, they're not still... mad? at you?"

  harumi shrugs. "not really. kai's still... not happy about it, but the others aren't ignoring me anymore."

  "well, baby steps, right?" i say. "it was a good plan, by the way."

  "i try." she leans against the wall and turns to me, gazing right into my eyes. "it's all thanks to you."

  i feel a blush spreading across my face. i don't try to hide it.

  "why are you so nice to me?" harumi asks suddenly. the question catches me off guard.

  "u-uh, what?? um..."

  "i would absolutely hate me if i were in your shoes." harumi says. "i spent my whole life trying to get 'revenge' on you."

  "i sound kinda dumb for forgiving you when you put it like that." i say laughing softly. harumi stays silent, but doesn't look away. "i just..." sighing, i confess "i really like you rumi. i don't know why, but i care about you. a lot."

  she looks shocked and then smiles so that her eyes sparkle and crinkle at the corners.

  "i think..." she starts. we're very close, maybe inches apart, and i suddenly forget about everything else but what's happening. harumi softly laughs. "...i think like you too, green ninja."
