It was now night, and It had been several hours since Cyno left In the morning and you knew the battle would begin tomorrow, Nilou had come by to visit earlier as to help cheer you up a little and it worked but you still felt an slight emptiness within yourself, and you knew it was because you missed Cyno already, but you knew he'd be gone for many days or even months

you'd freshened up and changed your attire, now on your way to have dinner with your parents and Nisha hinted that the Royal Chef prepared something new for tonight, and you were Intrigued about what that could be as you made your way into the room, and you bid your parents good evening before you went to go sit down,

"how are you?" your Mother asked

"I'm alright,"

Queen Devika nodded, "If you say so"

just then the royal chef emerged from the kitchen, and a few servants placed the first course of dinner on the table, It looked to be a green soup of sorts

"Your Majesties, your highness for tonight I've prepared a Mint bean soup, and then the main course will be Tandoori Roast chicken"

you looked at the spread as the delicious smells wafted through the air, you picked up your spoon and had a sip of the green soup, it was flavorful with the mint being refreshing

The Queen tried some, "oh, this is rather good I was worried the mint flavor would be too much, it's delicious I don't know how we've never had this before"

you smiled a little and nodded at your Mother's comment, before you continued eating while wondering if Cyno was resting right now but if not you hoped he was doing alright, you told yourself that tonight you'd go to the palace's temple for Kusanali and pray for his safety along with the safety of his troops,

"Is Candace well, has she written?" asked King Xavier

"She hasn't yet, though this is her third month already I hope she's taking care of herself"

Maharet brought the plate of Tandoori roast around, and you sliced some for yourself as you then thanked her with it passing over to your mother, you tried a piece of the Tandoori roast and you liked It very much though you remembered hearing about It once In the city,

just then one of the servants came into the room, "Your Majesty, Lieutenant Al Haitham has sent word that the army has settled In a few miles away from the border,"

"Very good, you may take your leave"

you continued eating in silence, and after dinner ended you excused yourself before making your way to the temple Inside the southern part of the palace, but you told Maharet and Nisha to let you go alone as you wanted to be by yourself at the moment, so you headed there as you walked through the few hallways along the way, seeing that the sun had completely set in the skies and you saw a few maids in the hallways lighting the lamps,

upon reaching the temple, you went to go light a few of the lamps Inside, you removed your shoes and kneeled on the ornate carpet in front of the statuette dedicated to Lesser Lord Kusanali, you took in a breath as you finally had what you wished to say

"Lesser Lord Kusanali, I ask of you to please look out for my husband and his comrades as they head into battle, please protect the people of this kingdom...I know many soldiers may lose their lives on both sides, and their loved ones will grieve for their loss so I pray that you will take care of them as well"

you then bowed lowly and after a while you rose onto your feet, just as you saw a Padisarah flower that had appeared miraculously, and you walked forward as you then took the flower into your hands while wondering how It'd gotten there but you already knew how, you smiled as you looked to the statuette and bowed your head, you then went to put your shoes back on as you headed back to your bedroom for the night now having a new hope In your heart, after all the flower was a sign that Kusanali had heard you and you felt like everything would be alright.
