The Coronation Chap.47

After you returned back home to Sumeru Kingdom, Cyno was once again hailed a hero all throughout the land with the tale of your rescue becoming something of legend, and a year passed after that with no more war's or conflict being raged on between Sumeru Kingdom and Snezhanaya, In which after some careful thinking and decision making your father was going to step down from the throne and have Cyno become the new king, because he'd found his son In law to have the makings of a great king but also there was his many war merits as well, the news shocked the both of you but your parents knew you were ready for the responsibilities and so the coronation date was set with the news spreading to all the other kingdom's.

After many months of planning the fateful day had finally come, today was the day Cyno would be crowned King of Sumeru and you would become his Queen, the palace was bustling as It had been decorated and adorned but the throne room especially as that was where It'd happen

you were sitting at the lotus pond with Cyno and the twins, there was still time before the coronation so this would be the only time all four of you would have quiet time, Ahmanet and Chakir were now one years old, and were walking as well as learning some words

you were resting your head on Cyno's shoulder, "It'll soon be time...."

Cyno rubbed your shoulder, "Yes...are you nervous"

you nodded, "a little, I've wondered time and time again If I'll be a good Queen"

Cyno looked at you lovingly, "You'll be more than good, wonderful In fact"

you smiled but then brought Ahmanet onto your lap more as she was asleep along with her brother, before you rested against Cyno once more as he had his arm around you

"As long as we're together...we can do anything" he said

you looked up at him as you smiled with a nod, "yes"

just then Maharet and Nisha came, "My lady, My Lord it's nearly time to get ready"

you and Cyno stood up, "I'll see you In a bit love,"

you gave each other's hands a squeeze before letting go, you then picked up Ahmanet and Nisha took Chakir as you headed off to get ready for the coronation.

you saw to it that the twins were dressed and ready first, now dressed in their little formal attire but they were awake and Ahmanet was fussing quite a lot, "mama...mama!"

you kissed her forehead, "It's alright...mama's right here, stay with Auntie Maharet for me"

you then went with Nisha as you had to go quickly get changed, she helped you change into your Maroon dress with golden details that had been made just for today, putting on the long skirt underneath before you slipped on the long sleeved top, and she the smoothed It out, you put on your earrings and gold like choker with dark garnet like gems that dangled 

and Nisha did your hair back into an updo, she put some Padisarah flowers In there and she then put on some makeup to your face as to finish the look, just as you slipped on your shoes and many bracelets with your mother coming into the room, just as you put on your new crown

"Oh, how beautiful you look"

you smiled, "Thank you Mother"

she looked you over proudly, "I've always dreamed of this day...your father too, you and Cyno will be wonderful rulers"

Devika pressed a kiss to your forehead, you then shared a hug with her as she teared up quite a lot even though It hadn't started yet, but then Al Haitham stepped into the room

he bowed "Your Highness, It's time to be off"

you smiled, "Thank you Al Haitham"

you then picked up Chakir while your mother kept an eye on Ahmanet as you left, and as you arrived at the throne room you could hear the royal musicians playing, amongst the crowd you saw Nilou and Candace along with many Important noble guests or other Monarchs 

you went with your mother to take your places while you waited for Cyno to arrive, and when he did there came a fanfare before the doors opened, there revealing your husband dressed up In a white and black ensemble with gold detailing, and his hair wasn't bound like before 

and as he walked down the long carpet everyone bowed or curtsied as he passed, and when he saw you there came an silent exchange of smiles between you both, but then Cyno regained his focus as he walked up the few steps just as your father came to stand before him

just then a Devotee of the Dendro Archon started speaking In light of her, and Cyno took a knee as the ancient text having to do with kings was read aloud, and when It was finished....

your father started, "Do you swear to govern the Kingdom of Sumeru with Fairness and Righteousness so long as you live"

"I swear"

"And do you swear to protect It's people from all harm and do right by them"

"I swear"

A smile came to Xavier's face, he then gave Cyno firm pats on his shoulders as he gestured for Cyno's crown to be brought over which was modeled after his usual helm, and he raised It up before placing It atop Cyno's head as everyone then bowed

"Then by the power vested In me, I present to you...King Cyno!"

Xavier then stepped back, "Long may you Reign my son"

Cyno then turned to the crowd as everyone rose to cheer, and they chanted his name with praises but then Cyno looked to you as he held out his hand, and you smiled as you rose onto your feet while Nisha held onto the train of your skirts as you went up the stairs 

and you placed your hand in his as you exchanged a tender look to each other

"And...Queen (Y/n)!"

your mother looked on with a smile as some tears streamed down her cheeks, but then she'd lost her grip on Ahmanet as she started climbing up the few steps to you and Cyno, and Cyno smiled as he then lifted her up into his arms just as Chakir came to join as well

Cyno then put his free arm around your waist as he drew you closer, and you smiled at him before you shared a kiss as everyone continued cheering.
