JJ's pov

So it's been 2 days, but it feels like it's been years, I miss her a lot, it doesn't feel real. I get to take River home today, it doesn't feel right without her, she should be here

"Alright buddy, you ready to go see the chateau?" I ask looking at him in the car seat like he can answer me. "I don't why I'm talking to you, you can't answer me" I say grabbing the car seat and leaving the room

"JJ please can we talk for a second" Brooke's mom says as I walk out the room and sit in the waiting room

She's been trying to talk to me and trying to get me to move in with her since Brooke died, I won't do it she'll take note of one fuck up and try to take River away, she's a Kook, I know she will

"1, your seconds over, go away" I say

"JJ please" she says sitting down. "Move in with me, I can help you with River" she says

"What makes you think that I'll need help with River, I think I'm capable of taking care of my own son" I say getting mad

"I'm just saying that you would need to get a job and juggling a job, school and a baby is going to be hard on your on, but if theres someone that can be home with the baby when you go do those things and don't you wanna have time to go hangout with your friends, you would have a built in babysitter you wouldn't have to pay for one" she says

"Ok can you stop please, I'm not moving in with you and I'm not going to go school anymore, I'm dropping out so when I'm not working I'll be with him 24/7 and I'll have John B with me" I say angrily

"You don't need to drop out just cause you have a baby now, you can come move in with me and I'll be there" she says

"I'm not just dropping out because I have River now, I don't like school" I say

Then I get a text from John B saying that he's here

"John B's here I gotta go" I say getting up and grabbing the car seat

"JJ wait please, can I just say goodbye to him" she says

"Yeah, I guess" I say hesitating while putting his car seat down

"Hi River, it's grandma" she says smiling grabbing his hands

"Your gonna wake him up" I say.

"Sorry, his little hands are just so cute, reminds me when Leo was a baby, he's gonna miss you you know, he already lost his sister" she says. "Brooke would have wanted you to stay with me" she says

"Don't do that, the guilt trip isn't gonna work" I say. "I gotta go John B's waiting" I say

"Ok, goodbye River, and JJ promise me your think about it" she says

"Yeah" I say grabbing his car seat

"Hey, how are you and River?" John B asks as I get to the car

"I'm fine, he's fine" I say putting River in the car

"You don't seem fine, I mean Brooke died it's ok if your not" John B says

"I'm fine" I say getting in the car

"Right, did you buckle him" he says looking at River

"Yes I buckled him, why wouldn't I buckle him" I say mad

"Alright I just thought that you didn't know how" he says

"The nurses showed me" I say. "Dumbass" I mumble

"I heard that" he says

"Can you just start the car and drive" I say looking out the window

"Yeah" he says starting the car

At the chateau

I walk into the chateau and all the pouges are sitting in the living room staring at me as I walk in

"What" I say putting River down

"Nothing, can I take him out" Kie says grabbing his car seat

"Yeah sure whatever" I say walking to the fridge. "Where's all your beer John B" I say looking in the fridge

"I took it out because I knew you'd try to drink away your feelings" he says

"I'm not going to drink away my feelings, I just want one can" I say closing the fridge

"One can turns to five" I hear Kie mumble

"Shut the fuck up Kie, you don't understand alright" I yell

"Guys stop it" John B says

"Where is it. I know you have them somewhere" I say looking around

"JJ you need to stop drinking and smoking you have River to worry about now" Sarah says

"Sorry last time I checked you weren't my mom, Sarah" I say harshly

"Whatever do what you want JJ" Sarah says looking at River grabbing his hands

"So where are they" I ask John B

"There's a cooler on the back porch" he says sounding sad

So then I walk outside and I hear Kie say something to John B

"Really" she says to him mad, getting up and following me

"JJ please don't drink that" she says outside with me now

"Your not my mom" I say opening it and taking a drink

"Do you wanna end up like your dad, because that's where this is gonna go if you keep drinking" she says. "Nothing really your gonna give me the silent treatment. I get it Brooke died and I'm sorry, but it doesn't mean you get to throw your life away she wouldn't went you doing this and you know it" she says after a little while

"Please go away" I say trying not to cry

"JJ just talk to us, we miss her to your not the only one who lost her" she says starting to cry

"Just leave me alone" I say getting up and walking to "my" room

"Dude what about River" Pope says as I walk inside

"Don't, not right now" I say crying walking into "my" room
