Dreaming and dreading letting go (first drafts)

The dark haired boy lays in the grass, looking at the ceiling, he raises his hand and spreads his fingers, reaching for the ceiling, for no good reason. He closes his eyes and drops his arm, exhaling. He turns onto his side and opens his eyes the slightest, looking at the grass. He's bored...
Waiting for something to happen.
But nothing ever does.
He's been awake the past 7 days, his focus to do anything is gone. He'd turned again, looking up at the ceiling and ahiko pops his face over into ariens sight, "you ok..?"

"Mhm"

"You sure..?"

"Mhm,"

Ahiko goes out of Ariens sight, and seems to sit down somewhere next to him. Arien doesn't move, he's so tired.. but he doesn't want to go to sleep,

"Arien...when's the last time you..slept..?"

"..."

"A-arien..?"

"Hm..."

"Whens last you slept..?"

"Arien-..."

"you don't wanna know the answer to that question..."

"...how long-..?"

"Seven..."

"Days..."

"Y-you gotta sleep"

"Y-you know what," Ahiko says, and Arien smiles a bit before it disappears and he sits up,

"...yeah..."

Ahiko looks down the hall, "you think they got anything in that one room to help you sleep.?"

"Falling asleep isn't the problem... I could pass out right now.."

"W-Why don't you-..?"

"...I'm scared..."

"Oh..."

Ahiko stares upward at the ceiling, thinking.
While he does that a black cat walks down the ledge of the widows, it jumps down with grace, softly hitting the grass, Arien turns to see it.

"Coupon..?"

"Eh..?" Ahiko looks behind him too see too,
"Woah- I didn't know there was a cat here"

"...yeah me neither..."

The cat walks and goes and stands on ariens feet, looking up at him, it meows.
Arien softly lays his hand on the cats head, it purrs and gets closer to him,
Arien is slightly overwhelmed, having never actually touched a cat before. It's soft,

"Cute cat"

"Eh-? o-oh yeah...c-cat.. right"

"Eh.?"

"I-it's nothing I just-...remember..a different name for it"

"Hm? Like what.?" As Ahiko says this Arien looks away,

"Coupon.." he says it, embarrassed,

"Hm..that's odd, but- it could be a nice name for him- or- uh her?"

"Coupon...?"

"Yeah.!"

"Heh.." Arien smiles lightly laying back, 'Coupon' steps around and lays on Ariens stomach, stretching out before closing its eyes,
