Oliver

It's been a day since he snuck away from us, but it's felt like years. I miss his gray form, standing in the sun, looking so regal, as a Luna should. Elijah and I missed our little wolf. We felt the immense need to protect him, but he made it so hard, especially since we can't even find him.

We went back to our pack house last night. We told our dad about our mate. He was happy, but worried about what that would mean for our relationship.

"Dad, we still love each other. We're not going anywhere. We just have a nice surprise that will be with us," Elijah stated, quite confidently, might I add. But he was right. Someone would have to tear me to my blood and bones if they thought they would get my other mate from me. But, in order for me to be able to do that, we have to find him...

We haven't been the best mates.

Elijah, Dad, and I sent our best trackers out to where we had our little campout from the day before. We haven't heard anything from them yet, not even about possible whereabouts. Our little mate was good at running. That made me happy, that he can fend for himself. That doesn't mean I'll be any less protective of him though. He's still my mate.

Why am I thinking of him as my mate just yet? We haven't even been able to talk to each other. It hurts. Is this a rejection from him? If we can't find him?

I thought to myself for a hot second.

"Hey, Elijah?"

"Yeah?"

"What if we can't find our mate? Like ever? What then?"
