Preparation for a Banquette

A few days had passed since I became the god of greed, the day after Mammon was killed I absorbed all of his Universes. According to Ophis if I wanted to keep going higher up in the ranks I needed to keep strengthening my soul because it would shatter if it couldn't contain the number of Universes I currently held.

I now had 10 Universes in total. Which isn't a lot but I at least had more chips to use if I got into another gamble. 

I was sitting down with my "New," group. Ophis my second in command, Tiamat, 3rd in command, Bigred 4th, and Xenovia 5th.

I had just received a letter that made Ophis and Bigred freeze up.

"A banquette to celebrate the new god of Greed... with every god having a mandatory attendance..." 

What was even scarier about this was that it was signed by Ahura Mazda, which according to Ophis was the god of gods. If I were to beat him then I would be at the top. Unfourntitly I am not strong enough yet, even I know that.

"...This is not gonna be fun," I muttered "It's being held 3 weeks from today, I can already imagine what's going to happen..."

I couldn't check the future since it seemed I was going to be In an alternate space. I could though see that in some futures I didn't end up leaving the banquette. I had to be careful this time.

"First things first, Let's all understand our expectations when we enter. For one, we are just going to go, don't be over-talkative, if you say something wrong to the wrong guy then we may all be killed,"

"Second, It is likely that something is going to happen involving fighting, if something like that seems to happen everyone comes to me and I will tell you all that we will do from there. Lastly, I believe that I won't only be the only one being celebrated here. So for the next three weeks, I will be training you all. Ok?"

"What do you mean not only for you?" Xenovia asked

"I believe Issei will kill Asmedues in that time, from there it will be a celebration of two gods,"

She nodded her head.

From here on out my moves were going to be careful. I had a major trump card that could probably hurt Amaterasu if it landed. I was lucky to get it in the first place... but anywho let's go get this training in.

After that, I trained with everyone for 2 weeks when the next letter came in, and yup, as I predicted Issei has killed Asmodeus. 

(Issei POV 2 weeks ago)

Recently I discovered a new ability in my Soul weapon. I can store energy. Meaning I can slowly build up power without actually showing it. I have been charging it up for 3 days and that should be more than enough to kill this bitch.

I knocked on the door. 

"Come in,"

I opened it and walked inside.

"Issei my dear what do you need?"

I looked at her with eyes that reflected no light. "Lady Asmedues... is it alright if we can do a quick training session now?" I asked with my head bowed

A smile appeared "Of course,"

We entered the training room, and from there we both got into positions.

"We go when this coin lands," She said

I nodded

As soon as it landed I released all the power I had been storing up, it didn't even take a second. My fist connected with Asmedues face and the whole Universe I was in collapsed. I had managed to completely shut down a universe in one attack... although I was drained now.
