The next day, I woke up with Annabeth lying next to me. Her blonde hair spilled around the pillows, and her eyes were closed. Her lips were pulled apart and she was breathing on my chest. I smiled and gently got up. Annabeth groaned and snuggled closer.
I laughed. "Psst, Wise Girl."
"Whaaaat?" She complained.
"It's morning."
"Yeah okay."
"I need to get up."
Annabeth noticed she was snuggled close to me and sat up straight. She blushed and slightly moved away.
"Sorry," Annabeth said, holding the blanket close to herself. I watched her with a look of interest, propping my elbow up on my pillow.
"Hey, Wise Girl?"
"Yeah?"
"I love you."
Annabeth, who's face had looked very tired, was now alert.
"You love me, Percy?"
"Uh, yeah, I do."
Annabeth smiled. "I love you, too, Perce. I really love you."
