It all started off as an average day. Darry, Sodapop, and Steve were all getting ready for work.

Ponyboy had just finished making breakfast since he was the one that woke up first. Dally and Johnny weren't here yet, and Two-Bit was sitting on the couch watching Mickey.

Again, it was normal. Sodapop was in the
bathroom, greasing his hair. His shirt was still
unbuttoned, but there was time for that later. Steve walked in and closed the door behind him, smirking at the sight in front of him.

"Hey cutie." Steve said, causing his boyfriend to blush.

They had been secretly together for a few months. They thought they were doing a pretty good job at keeping it a secret, little did they know that they were not at all.

Steve wrapped his arms around Soda from behind, softly kissing his neck. Soda smiled to himself, wondering how he got so lucky. After Sandy had left, he thought he'd never find love again.

Little did he know, the love of his life was right in front of him.

"Come on, Stevie. We gotta get ready for work.
There'll be time for that later tonight." Soda gently pushed Steve off and finished greasing his hair and then turned around only to see Steve still smirking at him.

"At least give me one kiss before we go." Soda
couldn't resist him. So he leaned forward and
pecked Steve's lips. Of course, that wasn't enough and Steve pulled him in for another, deeper kiss.

Right then what the two boys didn't want to
happen, happened. The door swinged open,
causing both boys to quickly break away.
Unfortunately, it was too late and Ponyboy was left to stand there, just staring at them.

"P-Pony honey, it's not what it looks like." Sodapop tried to explain, but there was no use denying it.

He expected Ponyboy to be mad, especially since he didn't really like Steve. Instead, Ponyboy just smiled and walked back out.

The two boys looked at each other in confusion at Ponyboy's reaction.

"I-I think it's time we tell the gang. Ponyboy
already knows so.. we should just do it." Steve
suggested.

Soda sighed and saw the pleading look in his boyfriends eyes. He hated keeping this a secret.

"Alright, baby. Let's do it now." Soda finished
buttoning his shirt and they walked to the hallway, looking in at the gang.

Dally and Johnny were here now, so they could just tell everyone at once.

"Remember, no matter what happens, I want ya to know that I love ya and I'll always love ya, okay baby?" Soda said, he was honestly kind of scared of everyone's reaction.

Mainly Darry's. Steve wasn't really worried. He just expected everyone to be surprised, but accepting.

"I love ya too. Now let's go tell 'em." They walked into the living room and everyone turned to look at them.

Steve saw Two-Bit trying not to die of laughter out of the corner of his eye. And Ponyboy was standing in front of Darry, who was in his chair, looking at him expectingly.

"Guys...we um, have something to tell ya'll." Soda said, and Ponyboy raised his eyebrows at him.

"Okay." Darry said calmly. The two couldn't really tell what he was thinking, but they went through with it anyways.

"Me and Soda are in love and dating." Steve said quickly.

Everyone was quiet for a second, but then Two-Bit finally bursted into laughter before jumping up.

"YOU OWE ME 20 BUCKS DALLY!" Two-Bit
screeched. Dally cursed and handed Two-Bit the money, before smirking at Steve and Sodas reactions.

Meanwhile Ponyboy turned aback to Darry, smirking and holding out his hand to him. Darry ended up handing him a twenty dollar bill.

They both looked shocked.

"Finally." Johnny mumbled, only adding to the
shock.

"Right. We thought y'all would never tell us."

"Wait, what the hell?" Soda looked around, everyone, even Darry, was laughing or smiling.

"Y'all aren't very good at hidin' things. Everyone already knew." Steve and Soda looked at each other in shock.

They thought they were doing good at keeping it a secret. How did everyone already know?

"How'd y'all know?" Steve asked. Soda was too shocked to say anything. They were supposed to be the ones shocked.

"Well, I walked in on y'all makin' out in the DX a couple of times." Two-Bit said in between laughs.

"And y'all don't think I see you guys tryin' to be
secret while holdin' hands?" Darry shook his head and smiled.

"Y'all have kissed in front of me so many times
when you thought I wasn't lookin', well y'all are
pretty bad at that too." Ponyboy smirked at them.

"And don't even mention all the times y'all have touched each other, seemed like a couple to me." Johnny shyly added.

"The way y'all sneak glances at each other all the time, seems pretty gay to me." Dally was the last one to say anything and everyone started laughing.

"So...everyone knew this whole time?"

"Yep. Now come on, we gotta get to work." Darry walked outside, Dally went outside with him to light a cigarette, and Two-Bit went into the kitchen for more cake.

Soda and Steve were surprised everyone already knew and were being so casual.

"We all knew from the start. Y'all just acted like
more than best friends. It was obvious." Ponyboy said and shrugged.

"Yeah, so when are you and Johnny gonna get
together?" Steve asked and smirked. Soda gently hit him in the arm as Ponyboy and Johnny turned bright red.

"We already are." Johnny said.

"WHAT?! AND YOU DIDNT TELL ME?!"

"Thought you knew" Ponyboy shrugged.
