the sun setting,
the moon rising,
time passing,
stars shining,
are people considered consistent?
"ill never leave"
leaves rustle in the trees
"youre my world"
the earth still turns
nothing is ever truly consistent,
especially people.
"see you tomorrow!"
time ticks by
"maybe next week?"
calendar pages turn
what can you count on?
"you mean so much to me"
dry conversations
"youre my closest friend"
hours for a response
is anything actually reliably consistent?
what happens when they stop texting first?
when they find new people?
when they break promises?
when it doesnt feel the same?
well,
the sun still sets,
the moon still rises,
minutes still pass,
the stars still sprinkle the sky
however,
the previous happy morning sun,
is now painfully and annoyingly bright.
the once calming moon that sits amongst the stars
is just a reminder that you probably need to sleep.
its not the same,
regardless of what you choose to believe.
