Basit walks closer to Nick

Bas: BUT, I think we should give him some rest, yeah? We just really wanted to see you where good. Get some rest, we will see you again at school?

Basit and the rest walk out the room. Alex follows

Jeo: I hope you're right
Emi: He is. He is... Go, be with your boyfriend. He's gonna need you. Even if his dad is a prick, today is still the day he lost him. Don't undermine that feeling, okay?

They all walk away. Alex goes back inside. Skip to later, Alex, Julio and the cops are sitting with Nick. The cop, Wyatt, is writing things down.
Wya: Okay, thank you. That's it
Wyatt puts her notebook back.
Jul: What's gonna happen to John
Wya: Well, it's pretty straight forward. We have an entire classroom off witnesses and camera footage as well. He can try to plead not guilty but if it goes to court, he doesn't have a leg to stand on.
Nic: What does that mean
Wya: It means your dad will go to prison, for aggravated assault and battery. He will likely get 10-15 years jail time. With good manors he could be out sooner.
Nic: If he does, what happens to me?
Wya: Mister Torres will be your prime caretaker from now on. When your father gets out of jail he will still have a restraining order to stay at least 500 meters away at all times.
Nic: And what if I want to talk to him?
Wya: Then I suggest you come to us first so we can make sure it happens safely.
Nic: Okay, makes sense.
Wya: Anything else?
Nic: No. thank you officer
Wya: You're welcome. And make a good recovery, okay.
Nic: I will
The cops walk out the room.
Ale: Are you okay?
Nick smiles with the biggest smile ever
Nic: I'm never gonna have to see him again
Alex laughs
Ale: That's right
Nic: I'M FREE. I can be who I want. What I want. I can date whoever I want. I AM FREEEEEE
Nick stands up and hugs Alex. Alex stops him
Ale: Get back into bed you idiot
Nic: I'm free, Alex. I am free.
Nick looks at Julio
Nic: Thank you!
