How did I let you in
without a single string attached to my heart
and a safe distance from my emotions
and be so hung up on you?
But when I let you in
with feelings I'd never felt
and prepared to bring down my ten foot guard
I couldn't forget about you faster if I tried.
Is it because you don't want me
or because I know I have you?
