''Athena, come into my office.'' Said Captain Maynard as she pops her head out the door.
Athena does so and walks in her office. ''Is something wrong Captain?'' Athen asks as she closes the door behind her.
''No, nothing's wrong. Just wanted to talk about the investigation, because there will be one.''
''Okay. How would you like for us to proceed?''
''I need you to investigate how the fire happened and why there was a gunshot from within the house.''
''I'm on it. Anything else?''
''Yes, how's the girl doing?''
''Our victim? Or the reckless one?'' Athena said the last line referring to M.
''Our victim.''
''She's fine. Traumatized but fine. She's going to need time to process the life she had.''
''That's good. You may go now.''
Athena nodded and stood and walked to the door. But just as she was halfway through the door, Captain Maynard called after her. ''And tell the reckless one I want to talk to her.''
''Will do.'' And with that, Athena left the office. She walked back to the interrogation room and Jake was still interrogating their suspect. She sighs as she begins to think. She was thinking about how scared the girl was about her mother and how pleaded for M to stay with her. She knew M knew more than she was letting on so she's going to make it M talk one way or another. But right now, she needs to know if M was okay. Given the fact that she noticed M's eyes were puffy and pink, as if M was crying. She wanted to know why M was crying but she has to take it slow. So M wouldn't suspect anything.
She sighed again and decided to pay M and Scott a visit at the motel they were staying. So Athena left the station, got into her car, and drove to the motel.

Athena arrives at the motel. She gets out of her car and walks up to the door, knocking gently at the door. It took another few knocks until someone oppened the door. ''Sergeant Grant, what are you doing here?'' Scott ask, as he was drying his hair. It turns out that Scott was taking a shower when Athena knocked at the motel room door.
''I'm looking for M, is she here?'' Athena replied.
''No, she's not. She hasn't come back from the hospital yet.''
''My Captain wants to talk to her. I'm guessing it's because of her running into a buring house.''
''Oh, alright. I'll tell her about when she comes back. She'll see your Captain first thing tommorow morning.''
Athena nodded, but wasn't buying Scott's lie. She knew M was inside, mostly because she reconized her black backpack with unicorns on it sitting down by a nearby chair. Athena noticed M's backpack the second after Scott opened the door.
