Vic makes a very costly mistake: one for which her family could put
her FAMILY-her husband and small son) her at risk of losing. Luckily for
her she gets great advice from both her mother Lenya and therapist,
Diane Lewis (WHO ELSE?!)

UPDATE: Andy and Robert talk about LOYALTY (re Hughes and Ripley);

"Hands Of Time"-Groove Armada

[Keep looking through the window pane
Just trying to see through the pouring rain
It's hearing your name, hearing your name
I really never felt quite the same, since I've lost what I had to gain
No one to blame, no one to blame
Seems to me, can't turn back the hands of time
Oh it seems to me, can't turn back the hands of time
[x2]

Seems to me, can't turn back the hands of time
Oh it seems to me, can't turn back the hands of time
Seems to me, history was left behind

"Hello?" says Lenya Hughes, her normally mild accent more pronounced as she had spoken with her family in Poland just minutes before.

"It's Lucas, Mama."

Delightedly, his Mother In Law cries "Lucas, moja miłość ! Why didn't you come along with Victoria? The two of you are fighting, hm?"

"I'm sorry, Mama but yes."

"It happens, My Son: even in the best marriages. Have you seen the way Anthony Hughes carries on sometimes? It will be fine."

Lucas hesitates before asking "Has she said anything to you?"

"Nooo; she is with her father but I can tell that she is upset...I'll talk with her and call back, alright?"

"Thank you, Mom. Goodbye."

Up on the second floor of Kaminski's, the Hughes family's pierogis restaurant Vic tells her mother (in detail) about her disagreement with with her husband from the previous evening. She complains that Lucas won't listen to her explanation about why she arrived home at 10 am
FRIDAY from a 'girl's night out' (which began at 10 pm THURSDAY...yes: he has a right to be angry but he should at least listen to her reason; he isn't interested and after a very loud shouting match she left and came to Kaminski's for advice...

"O moje biedne dziecko, tak mi przykro" (O my poor child I'm so sorry)...

"Co mam robić mamusia?" (What do I do mommy?)

"Rozmawiasz z nim, Słodka Dziewczyna" (You talk to him, Sweet Girl)

From downstairs, Vic's father yells "LENYA-where is my burgundy sweater?!

"In a minute, Daddy; we're talking!" Vic yells back, wiping her eyes.

Mother and daughter remain embraced for ten more minutes or so until Anthony yells up the stairs again: "LENYA!"
