It's another boring day in Hawkins. You are lying on your desk and thinking about nothing. You are here because you have to. Then someone opens the door. You don't mind you just continue to play with your pen.

"All right hold up there. You won't get away that easy. Come on up. Don't be shy" you hear Mr Clark says

"Dustin drumroll" you frown and with that, you look up what is going on.

Dustin starts his drumroll and with that, you see a girl in front of the board.

"Class please welcome. All the way from sunny California. The latest passenger to join us in our curiosity voyage."

"Maxine" he finishes and points to the redhead girl.

"It's Max" she says

"What?" He says weirdly

"Nobody calls me Maxine. It's Max" she says little mad and bored. Just like you

"Alright, Max. You can go sit" he says and points to the class

"Finally" you see her mumbles while walking back seats of the class.

She sits next to you and catches you staring. Not in the 'aww' way but in a 'wtf' way. So she looks at you

"What?" She asks you and you frown a little and lay down again.

After a class ends you get up and go to your locker. You get some of your books there and smack your locker shut again. When you turn back to leave you almost bump into someone.

"What's your problem?" She asks you right away.

"What do you mean?" You ask and try to go away but she stops you

"Why are you such a dick? I don't even know your name and you are already rude to me" she says and that stops you.

"..I just don't like new people okay?" You say annoyed and push her gently away and go home

After a month still not knowing Max well you go to school. You see the party and Max together. Next to the... container?

"What are you doing?" You ask Will. Will is your best friend in the party. You also adore Dustin but you grew up with Will.

"Nothing" Mike cuts you off immediately

You give him a death stare. And then you look at Max

"What is she doing here?" You ask Will again

Poor Will can't talk

"What ? I can't have friends?" Max says angrily and gets closer to you

You are just standing there not saying anything. Your one hand turns into a fist but you relax almost immediately

Max takes your hand and drags you away. When you are far enough she pushes you against a wall.

"What do you have against me? What if i want to be your friend huh?" She says louder and angrily

You stare at her and her words really stuck in your mind. Friend? Her?

"Friend, really?" You say trying to play cool

"Yes, Y/n. God damn, you are so dumb. You are cool i bet everyone wants to be your friend. But if you have such a problem with people okay. Fine. But at least don't talk to everyone like they are trash" she little shouts and pushes you to the wall again.

You stare into her eyes and she is looking in yours as well

Then she sighs in disappointment and starts to leave
